"Welcome to the gang, Horror."
The pillars were painted jet black, the walls were in dark grey. The only things that have stood out by far was the golden frames of the pictures hanging above the walls. That was what Horror observed throughout what felt like half an hour of touring around the place.
"Wow, your boss sure loves dark colors," Horror remarked, looking at the grey tinted marble floor.
"True. It's his way of showing how evil he is, I guess," responded Killer, bringing out his knife and tossing it in the air.
They had already passed two hallways, the first being the one where Killer introduced the way to the dining and living room— which was gigantic in fashion. It had chandeliers perfectly centered, successfully holding black candles lit with a strange blue fire. The darkness of the candle's colors blends in with the ceiling, making it look like the flames were floating.
The second area they explored was the intricate dungeon they had underground. The temperature dropped as soon as they stepped foot in it that Horror wonders if it was because they were underground, or the extreme cold was simulated by Nightmare. Human remains and dust littered the cells which strangely pulled Horror in. He can feel his hunger take over him for a moment before he shook it off. After coming out of the place, they marched off to another section of the mansion which is where their rooms were situated.
It wasn't that long until they reached the door that leads to another hallway. Dust flicked his fingers, managing to push the doors open with his magic. They walked to the first door, carved with what seemed like a figure of...
"Ah yes, Dust," Killer looked up to the door, the hooded skeleton's features carved on the dark wood. The scarf and the hood he had on was carved in great detail, highlighting the most noticeable characteristic he had— the shadow that covered his face. Behind the void was what seems like a gem that glowed with the colors Dust's eyelights has.
"Woah..." Horror breathed out.
"Advise you to not go in though, Dust can get pretty pissed off." Killer reminded Horror. Though, it did not take away the awe that painted Horror's face. Dust, who was behind the two, only grunted.
"Say that to yourself and your cat, dumbass," he mumbled in response, picking up Killer's attention.
"I wasn't talking to you." Killer retorted, grinning in a sarcastic and annoyed manner. On the other hand, Horror's eyes picked up on an unusual light that came from the eyelight gems. He squinted, realizing the intensifying glow of the gems. He turned back, looking at the two who was continuously staring each other off with burning gazes. He noticed the faint layer of purple haze that surrounded Dust as his eyelights shimmered with the gems.
"Guys...?" Horror broke the tension, making Killer blink as if to snap himself off the arising argument.
"Oh, uh, sorry, specifically for my friend here that's so disrespectful of your presence." Killer addressed Dust not-so-subtly, further annoying the latter.
"I'll show you disrespectful once I obliterate you here." Dust retorts, hands visibly balling into fists.
"Why don't you do it then?" Killer taunted, grinning more as he stepped closer to his counterpart who— like a bomb— was dangerously getting close to exploding. The glint of Killer's knife was noticeable in his sleeves, ready to be used.
As much as Horror wanted to see them fight, he didn't know where to run to when they do. In an attempt to alleviate the tension, he spoke up.
"Um, guys, you wouldn't prefer to do that here, don't ya?" He started, calming his tone as much as he can as to not push the fight further. "Your boss pretty sure would be very angry if you did fight in here and... Destroyed stuff," he continued, trying to slowly reason with the two.
