"So... Are you ready for your first real mission?"

Horror groaned, a thump resounding through the emptiness of the snow-covered forest they were in. "What was that?" He complained, head on his hand as he retained his balance.

"Dimension hopping." Horror heard Killer answer through the thin sheet of ringing that filled his hearing. It was fading ever so slowly with the blur in his vision.

"Well, dimension hopping sucks." Horror coughed out, righting his posture before walking towards the two.

It already had been a day after the mission statement, and almost a week of Horror's stay. For the record, he was adjusting pretty decently.

"So... Where are we?" Horror asked, looking up the frosty trees. It looked like his own.

"Something tale," Killer answered. Horror looked at him in confusion.

"What?"

"SomethingTale. It's literally called that," Killer continued, making Horror tilt his head in further confusion and surprise.

"What the hell? AUs have names?" His non-existent brows were furrowed. Killer nodded. "What's my world called then..?" He thought aloud.

"Probably still Undertale, 'cause we're only timelines and not actually a separate universe... something like that," Killer shrugged, leaning on a tree trunk.

"Undertale... That's the original universe?" Horror asked in confirmation and Killer nodded again. "And by 'we're'..." His words faded, his gaze climbing up to Killer.

"Yups," Killer chuckled, pocketing his hands and pushing himself off the tree. "Dust is also a Sans from a different timeline."

His answer only made Horror return to wondering what went down in their worlds. There were a million possibilities, and he couldn't deny the fact that he thought of at least a fourth of that million possibilities when his universe was going to a pathway he didn't expect it to turn to.

What could've been fixed?

What could've been different?

But there was no time to ponder about those. He couldn't do anything anymore, anyways.

"Uhh... What are we going to do here again?" Horror asked, pulling himself out of his trance. He walked with Killer who followed Dust who started to step towards a certain direction.

"Just cause some distraction," Killer answered. "... And maybe kill some people here and there." Killer chuckled to himself, grinning as his head filled with ideas of chaos.

They halted after a moment, realizing they have reached a part of this AU's Snowdin. As they stepped inside the village, Horror immediately felt somewhat nostalgic. It almost looked like what it was back then. Back before everything. He looked around, falling back from the group for a moment.

"Are you good?" Killer asked when Horror had caught up. Horror could only nod in silence. Killer almost instantly read through him and nudged Dust by his side.

"You'll get used to it," Killer said after a pause, his tone unintentionally falling soft ever so subtly. He immediately cleared his throat, redirecting his focus on their current objective.

"Alright, let's wreck this place up?"

The place was in shambles not even half an hour later. The three were on top of some rubble, looking forward to the chaos they have orchestrated.

Bones were stabbed everywhere. The air was thick with dust and the smell of iron. The once peaceful town was nothing but rubbles and uprooted trees. Killer sat atop, Dust standing on a rubble a step lower to his right, and Horror the same position to Killer's left. He looked at the work they've done, recounting the loud blasters and piercing bones the two summoned. The screams that accompanied the two's maniacal laughing had not failed to stick to his mind either.
