Victoria's Perspective

I wake up the next morning way too early, with an awful headache. It's freaking Saturday and I woke up at 6:30 A.M., as I would on a weekday? My goodness...

I sit up with a stretch, reaching my arms high to the ceiling, before grabbing my cell phone, trying to recall the events from the night before. I remember three of the names of the four guys- Gavi, Pedri, and Frenkie. I figure I might as well take a shot at looking up the names of these guys, to see if I can find them, remembering that one of them told me... they were, what? Some sort of athletic... sport. Ah, F.C. Barcelona! Right, because that shocked me greatly; I remember now. So they're football players, then, right?

I look up 'Frenkie', and immediately find a man named Frenkie de Jong, who's picture perfectly matches the man I saw last night. I'm halfway through typing 'Pedri' into the search bar when the notification pops up at the top of my cell saying that Luis, my boyfriend, is calling.

I sigh, picking up. "Hey, babe, you didn't answer my text," he says right away.

"So?"

"I was worried."

"You're always worried!"

"Babe, come on now. What were you doing last night? It was a Friday- I'm fairly confident that you weren't sleeping."

"None of your business."

"Yes, it is! I'm your boyfriend!"

"How come you become my boyfriend and suddenly every single thing is now your business?!"

"Because I worry!"

"Maybe you should get that diagnosed!"  I say a little too loudly, in aggravation at him.

"Shhh, calm down," he says, using the belittling voice on me. "Wanna come over? It must be that time of month? I can rub your-"

"It's not that f***ing time of the month, Luis."

He clears his throat, saying, "Wanna come over, still? We could go out. You know. Have a nice Saturday outing."

I sigh, not wanting to tell him I'm not feeling well, because otherwise he'll blow it way out of proportion, like he always does. "Sure, I'll come over."

"Okay," he says, hanging up. Not offering a ride.

I stand up, quickly shower, do my makeup, and put on a necklace, a black crop top, and black skinny jeans. I then head out of my apartment and to my rusty old car. It takes a couple tries to get it going, before finally it starts up with a rumble, and I let out a deep sigh as I head off, driving to Luis's place. I guess researching about those three guys will have to wait for later... I'm still curious about it. I just have to make sure not to forget their names.

I show up at his house, and he opens the door for me, putting his hand on my lower back, leading me to the couch, where he says, "So you're going to tell me what you were doing last night now? You better not have been hanging around other guys, babe."

I swallow, and I guess it's a lie when I say, "No, I wasn't, don't worry. I just... uh, I was... at the club."

He nods slowly at this, studying my face, before saying, "Who were you with?"

I shift uncomfortably under the gaze of his brown eyes, before muttering, "No one."

"You know that's not safe, Victor-"

"I can take care of myself, you know," I say firmly.

"You-"

"Yes, just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I can't take care of myself, Luis. I'm sure that's some brand new news for you, huh?"
