Gavi's Perspective
When Ferran gets back in the water, I motion for him to come over to me. He sighs, plopping down in the water. I try to figure out the negative emotions on his face, but soon give up, figuring it doesn't really matter to figure out what he's feeling. "Who is that girl?" I mutter to him, eyebrows knitting together.
"Oh, Gavi," he sighs again, glancing to the girl following Pedri to some chairs, where she sets her stuff. She has very long brown hair with beautiful tight curls, thin brown eyebrows, and light skin.
"What is it, Ferran?" I ask, my eyes returning to Ferran with his dark brown hair, tan skin, and cheeks that are sprinkled with stubble.
"Noth-"
"Dude, just tell me," I say in annoyance, nudging him. "Do you know her?"
"No. Not really at all."
"So does Pedri?"
"Kind of. No more than I know her."
"So you know her kind of too, then?"
"Ish."
I'm starting to get really annoyed with this whole unclear, avoiding the question thing he's doing, so I snap, "Tell me!" giving him a gentle shove. "Seems like I deserve to know."
He snorts. "Yeah, you sure do."
"Then tell me!"
He grins for a moment, before it disappears as quickly as it came, and finally muttered, "One night, a little over a week ago, you and Pedri were completely drunk out of your minds. It was that last night before the season started."
I feel a current of alarm suddenly go through me. "Don't tell me either me or Pedri brought her home to our places, and I seriously just don't remember her...?"
"No!" he chuckles. "Not that at all. Pedri tried to flirt with her, but it was late, and me and Frenkie dragged you guys out of there as fast as we could. You were getting out of hand, like you do when you get that drunk."
I roll my eyes, feeling the alarm dissipate as it's replaced, once again, with annoyance towards my teammate. "So Pedri must remember her?"
"Maybe so. Whether he does or he doesn't, he sure does see her as a pretty girl he wants to get to know. You did, too, you know, on that night you were drunk."
I glance away with a casual shrug, determined not to mess around with her. Now with La Liga starting again, I figure I better just focus on football, and leave the girls at the door. I watch as she takes off her sunhat, sandals, and sweater and sets them on a chair, before looking to Pedri with a shy look on her face. I find myself smiling at the look on her face, but the moment I realise my facial expression, I knock it off, hoping no one saw that. I replace the smile with my usual furrowed eyebrows and slight frown. "That's strange," I respond to Ferran. "Seriously?"
"Yeah, you kept calling her funny and pretty and stuff. You guys made the end of that night hell for me and Frenkie, when it came to getting you two out of there."
"Jeez, sorry. God, I really get weird when I'm drunk," I mutter, meeting his eyes for a moment to show him my look of disinterest towards that girl. "Do you know her name?" I trace my voice with tones of casual wondering.
"Hm... No, I don't. Don't know anything about her. Why are you wondering?" Ferran raises his eyebrows, giving me a look.
I shrug. "No reason but that I'm just wondering. I just guess I'm surprised to see Pedri so into her. Usually he doesn't seem to easily fall for girls."
