Mentions of self-die
Kou thought about it so many times. Should he become a supernatural to join Mitsuba? Sure, Teru would hate that, but Kou's thoughts were all scrambled. Some days he doesn't feel like waking up, but as soon as he sees Mitsuba again, his mind changes. Besides, he knew how to become a supernatural. Ever since Kou found Mitsuba after the severance, he did feel a lot happier.
He knew all too well that Teru would hate it, but Kou didn't care. Also, he was pretty sure Teru would become a supernatural too just because Kou became one. Unless it was different for zombies and supernaturals. Either way, they both had the same concept.
If Kou were to turn into a zombie, Teru said he would become one as well and destroy the world with Kou. Then again, supernaturals were different from zombies. Teru had a firm opinion against supernaturals. It wouldn't make sense though.
Maybe Kou could just not tell Teru about his plans. Kou could just fake it as a normal suicide. If he faked it as normal, then Teru wouldn't think much about the reasoning behind it.
Well, hopefully Teru didn't look too much into it. If he did look into it more than regular reasons, then who knows how that would go? Kou didn't want to think about how Teru would react to him killing himself just to be with Mitsuba. That would be awkward to explain and he didn't want to explain it either way.
All Kou needed to do was find Mitsuba. Then that would be it. He looked around the school for Mitsuba. He didn't even want to know if Mitsuba showed up at his house again. That would not be good.
After looking around the school once, he decided Mitsuba was in the Hell of Mirrors boundary, a place he didn't know how to get to without the help of someone else.
"Hanako!"
Kou didn't like his idea at all, but it was the best he got. Either that or ram into the mirror until Mitsuba noticed.
When he walked into the girl's bathroom, Kou wasn't expecting to see Hanako playing something with the mokke.
"What do you need?"
"Can you help me get to the Hell of Mirrors boundary again?"
Kou felt embarrassed to ask Hanako how to get to the Hell of Mirrors. He should know how to himself, but he didn't. It was literally his friend there. He should know how to reach Mitsuba.
"Why?"
"I want to talk to my friend."
Hanako gave Kou a look that said, "stop lying to yourself." It was so obvious, but Kou was denser than a rock.
Kou didn't question Hanako's look. Why did he even look at him like that? It wasn't that bad to deserve a look like that. Kou didn't even know what it was referring to.
Hanako just sighed. He didn't want to break the bathroom mirror again, but it was worth a shot.
Before Hanako could break the mirror, Kou got taken into the mirror. At least the mirror was still intact and no one had to come fix it again.
---------------
Kou finally made it to the boundary. It gave him the creeps. Time to find Mitsuba, wherever he was.
For some reason, it wasn't as hard as Kou expected it to be to find Mitsuba. He was waiting there for Kou to arrive.
"It took you long enough Minamoto-kun."
Kou turned around and looked at Mitsuba. "I've been looking for you Mitsuba!" Kou said with a smile on his face.
That smile was precious. If only Kou knew.
"So, Lame-ass traffic earning, what do you need?"
Kou wasn't telling Mitsuba the actual plan. He knew Mitsuba would try to prevent it as soon as he heard about it. At least that's what Kou thought from last experience.
"Do you want to come with me to the roof?"
Mitsuba didn't think much of it. It seemed like a place Kou visited a lot. Mitsuba just thought Kou wanted to spend time with him there. Of course, Mitsuba was a bit worried, but it couldn't be that concerning. Besides, Mitsuba didn't think Kou would try to kill himself again.
Oh, if only Mitsuba knew what was coming when he reached the roof.
Mitsuba followed Kou to the roof, without knowing the true reasons of Kou's actions. Even with Kou standing a bit close to the edge, Mitsuba pulled him back to make sure he didn't fall on accident. It only happened once, so Mitsuba didn't think much of it.
They two had a great time on the roof, talking away. It made Kou feel as if Mitsuba was alive. Just being able to talk to Mitsuba was nice. It was such a relief. Kou got so caught up in the moment that he almost forgot his plan.
"Don't you ever wonder what it'd be like if we were together forever?" Kou asked, which caused Mitsuba a confused look. They would be together forever. When Kou would die when he's older, the two could spend the rest of their days together in the far shore.
"We'll be together later though? Or are you just that impatient?"
Mitsuba was so confused. He didn't understand what Kou was saying. Either way, they would be together forever once Kou died later on in life.
"It wouldn't be the same Mitsuba," Kou said. He walked a bit closer to the edge. Now Mitsuba was clear on what Kou planned.
Kou smiled at Mitsuba again. His smile was so precious. It was a smile Mitsuba could look at for eternity.
Unlike last time, Kou didn't drag Mitsuba down with him. He was close to the edge. One more step back, and Kou would fall.
"I'll be with you forever and I'll know how you always feel," Kou said. With that final statement, Kou took one step back and lost his balance on the edge.
"MINAMOTO-KUN, DON'T BE AN IDIOT!" Mitsuba shouted as he grabbed Kou's arm.
