Chapter 4: The Echantrix Queen

LENA'S POINT OF VIEW

Getting into bed was one of the best feelings of the day. Today had been hard and Lilac wasn't making it any easier for me, luckily I had Ryder and the others helping me. I met all the teachers and found that Viola the headmistress taught elegance in battle and Greyson taught history, he'd asked me in class to explain why we where immortal but before I could the time ran out, I was thankful for that because I didn't know a lot of the terms used in the legends. He told me that I would have to tell him tomorrow. I layed awake for hours thinking of a good way to explain it and finally I got one and I was able to go to sleep, something I always happily welcomed. Dreams were never a good thing when you were born a seeker, you always dreamed of the future even if you knew how to control the visions, while you are awake, while sleeping it's something much more different and a lot harder to control. I always had visions of the Dark side and Avion's armies, sometimes I could use it to my advantage, other times it scared me so much that I could not go back to sleep.

RYDER'S POINT OF VIEW

Meeting the girl from last night today only intrigued me more. She was a mystery, a mystery I wanted to solve and understand, but at the moment she was confusing me. "Ryder, you're quieter than usual, what's the matter?" Erin asked sitting on his bed "Nothing, I'm thinking" I answered "About?" he pressed "About Lena" he fell of his bed, but jumped right back up again from the floor to look at me "You like her" I shook my head "No you idiot, I was thinking about her because she's strange and I want to understand her" he took a seat back on his bed "Now that you mention it, there is something about her that feels strange" Ozzy commented swallowing his midnight snack "She's hiding something" Trent said coming in from the balcony "I thought so too, but what?" I said and asked more to myself than to the others. Ozzy was right each time I would feel her presence before I even saw her something that we shouldn't be able to do. The shield always prevented us from sensing others power to eliminate student thinking they were stronger than others. Only the really powerful students like royals, battliers and militia leaders. I got into bed trying to figure out a plan to find out what exactly she was hiding.

LENA'S POINT OF VIEW

I woke up with a start when Ava jumped on the bed right beside me "Wake up sleepy head!" she yelled as she kept jumping "I'm up, I'm up! Would you stop jumping already!" I yelled back trying to get up from my bed. She hoped off with a big smile plastered on her face "Get dressed Lena, I'm going to show you who's opinions really matter in this school" I frowned "Why?" she smiled "What you think I didn't notice you trying to hide away from everyone and everything after training yesterday?" I looked down "I was kind of hoping you guys didn't" she took a seat on my bed as I took my uniform and went to the bathroom "Well to be honest I didn't see it at first, Ryder told me" I froze "How did he know?" I heard her laugh "Because silly Ryder's really powerful, and a Wengarian they can smell, sense and see a persons emotions change". her answer was new to me, I knew Wengarians had a few special abilities but my dad and Saya never told me about that one. "Is this world so new to you?" she asked after a while of silence "No, I was just always protected, never allowed to go anywhere on my own or very far from my home. I know a lot about battle strategies, behavior, elements and seekers but all the abilities of certain groups and nations I don't know so much about" I said coming out of the bathroom, she nodded at my answer.

"Do you know what the Enchantrix is?" I asked her as we walked through the halls of the school as she pointed out various people "Huh, you don't know that either?" I smiled shyly "No" she sighed into her hand "Have you ever heard of Queen Sesalee?" I nodded, Fujimore had mentioned her when he told me the school's history "She's the Enchantrix, their born with a power greater than any other being and they gain even more power when they turn seventeen" I nodded "The is only one for each generation, it's always a girl with their trademark leangth long blonde hair, blue eyes and a golden symbol shaped like a rose somewhere on their body" she stopped explaining "So this Queen Sesalee she helped Viola open this school?" "Yes, she's also the one that put the shield around the school to protect us from the Dark Lord and his minions".
