Chapter 2: Encounter

LENA'S POINT OF VIEW

The air was cold as Fujimore and I continued on our night journey to Horizon Academy. We left the Stargazer hours ago, but we could still hear the fighting on the battle field and see the attacks lighting up the night sky. I took in my surroundings and the rested my eyes on Fujimore's silver, white hair. He was one of the three Legendaries, the Legendaries were normal warriors once but each of them had to give up something to become knowledgeable in what they desired most, Fujimore gave up being able to love, Rayla gave up her seeker ability and Katerine gave up her healing abilities. Fujimore and Rayla became renound experts in battle and a lot of people have asked to train under them. Katerine gained a vast amount of knowledge on everything and opened a school to give the people the knowledge they wanted. I asked him once if he regretted his choice, but he never answered me.

"Lena are you alright?" he interrupted my thoughts "Yes Sensei, I'm fine, I was just thinking" I saw him nod but never once did he turn around to look at me. "Please tell me about this school Sensei?" I looked up watching the stars as we walked "Well a friend of mine, the head mistress opened the school with the help of Queen Sesalee. She also made it a school everyone could attend light or dark, Wengarian, Vampirian, Wind rider, Oger, Dragons, Dragon rider and even Royalty like the Enchantrix and her family" I frowned "What are Vampirians and Wind riders and what is the Enchantrix?" he stopped turning towards me "Vampirians are specialized warriors with fangs, they drink blood but a cup a year is more than enough for them, the rest of the time they eat normal food, they also have bat like wings. A Wind rider is someone that lives with the wind they can hear it's voice, it's not their element but they can use it to their will, they ask the wind. And the Enchantrix...well that is something you'll find out about soon enough" I understood his explanation but I frowned at the Enchantrix part, what was he hiding from me and why? I didn't ask question after that I just kept quite watching the trees for any movement.

"Lena do you sense that essence?" Fujimore suddenly spoke "No, but I do now, what is it? I can't identify it" he stopped closing his eyes "A dark X hunter we need to move" I didn't need him to tell me more, X hunters were nasty pieces of work build to kill and often worked for the ones that payed them enough money, they killed anyone they were told to and unfortunately I am always there most sought after target. We used our speed to try and get distance but the hunter was following us, we entered a clearing and that's when I stopped waiting for the hunter to make his move. "Lena we don't have time for this!" Fujimore yelled at me "He can't follow us. I might not know the people at that school, but that doesn't mean I'm going to put them in danger!" he wanted to protest but the X hunter jumped into the clearing heading straight for me with his energy chains, I jumped out of the way and quickly looked at my attacker, he had red hair and black eyes and was dressed in black, his golden chains dancing next to him in the air. "Well your a fast child, aren't you now?" he said in a cold voice that sent a shiver down my spine "Yeah and your just a pathetic demon" I made him angry, his eyes turned from black to a burning fire, he jumped forward swinging his chains at me, I dodged them with ease. I played with him for a while, making him depleat his energy.

"This game ends here!" he yelled swinging every chain he could at me, I was ready, I closed my eyes and summoned the the crystal particals in the air to form a bubble around him, then I let the particles explode. It wasn't enough too kill him, only knock him out but for the time being that's all we needed. I jumped and landed next to Fujimore "Good, you finished the battle fast, now let's move" we ran from the clearing not stopping once, I was grateful not having my bags with me and even more grateful that my grandmother was the crystal goddess and could send things ahead. She would have sent us too but sending living beings needed more energy, energy the Dark Lord would sense and recognize as Saya's.

Ryder's Point Of View

I snuck out of my bed in the middle of the night, walking to the balcony, careful not wake up my three snoring roommates. I jumped up from the balcony up to the roof and sat in my usual spot where I was save from Viola is strict rules about sneaking out. I like to sneak out at night and just watch the moon went from bright white to red, I guess that was my wolf part yearning for it's freedom away from iron gates and stuck up rules. I've always felt alone in this place even though I have friends that are always by my side, but still I don't think they understand me. My thoughts were interrupted by Viola and Greyson's essence, they were coming outside, I hid behind one of the many stone pillars and I kept my essence as low as possible. "Why are you allowing this again, Viola?" Greyson asked as they walked towards the gates "I owed him a favor and this was his favor, I couldn't turn him down" Greyson scoffed at her words but said nothing further. I looked towards the gate and saw a cloaked figure walking up towards the gate.

I felt her before I saw her, her essance overpowered the shield around the school. I didn't know how I knew it was a girl but I knew. I watched them enter the one took of his cloak and I saw the trademark white silver hair of a Legendary, he wore black from top to bottom. Then the girl took off her cloak. She was tall with waist length blonde hair, she had pale skin and wore a loose white shirt with black pants and a pair of black boots. She must have sensed me, because she looked straight into my eyes and I looked back into hers, she had beautiful glowing blue eyes. I jumped back, deeper into the shadows. Viola told them to follow her to her office, once they were gone, I jumped back down onto the balcony and went back to my bed, I closed my eyes but as I did her haunting blue eyes flashed before me and I knew I wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight.

I took my time to get class the next morning hoping that I would see that strange mysterious girl again, I didn't. "Ryder were where you this morning? You don't usually get up that early" Erin my not so great roommate asked "I couldn't sleep, so I got up" It was true, I hadend gotten any sleep because of that girl. She intrigued me and I wanted to find her and get to know her. "Good morning class" Our teacher Miss Leaf said walking into the room, she was and Light Elf, she taught us how to use our elements. "We have a new student today, but she'll be joining you a little bit later. Ava I want you, Belle, Nina and the guys to look after her" my heart sped up with excitement and I wished time to speed up so that I could meet her and know her name. "Great another new misfit for the misfit crew" Lillac comented as we walked to training class "Your just a jealous little princess Lillac because no one wants to join your idiotic crew" Ava yelled back at her. This was going to be one hell of a long day.
