Back In King's Landing During The Late Evening.
It was very late and Prince Joffrey had only recently returned home from his adventure following the Queen's campaign. Queen Aelora's soldiers had managed to meet Rhaenyra's own soldiers who had sailed to retrieve and rescue the Prince. Now Joffrey was finally back in the castle and in his room that he shared with his younger siblings. Aegon and the other younger siblings were overjoyed to see him again. Aegon who understood a little more became a little worried for his big brother and sat with him on the couch while Joffrey sat and was ashamed of his last meeting he had with his aunt and god how horrible and unfair that day was. He really just wanted to start over and make sure he mom didn't get so scared for his life. Aegon sat comforting Joffrey.
"Mama promised not to scold you. Brother?" Aegon said, wondering if Joffrey could hear him.
"Don't be sad or worried Aegon. I'm not mad at anyone. Aemond saw me coming and recognized me. That's why I was sent home and punished by the Queen to be guarded by the castle guards for the rest of the time." Joffrey said hugging his sweet little brother.
Then the doors were opened by the servants and there finally came Queen Regent Rhaenyra who had finally had time to go and meet her disobedient son and how she is disappointed in him to the highest degree.
"Will you take Prince Aegon to his bed." Rhaenyra turned and looked at Joffrey and then she told her servants to take care of her other son and the servant brought Aegon to his bed to go to sleep.
Rhaenyra stood still for a moment, thinking a bit, and Joffrey looked down at the floor, nervous about his mother's anger. Rhaenyra chose to walk up to him and start talking things out.
"How could you just run away like that? When are you going to start growing up and start thinking things out?" Rhaenyra began.
"I felt it was my right and duty to join the campaign. I'm sorry but I'm not completely sorry. I might even run away again if they don't take me back next time mother." Joffrey replied.
"Joffrey! Aren't you ashamed of what you've done? If my father were still alive, he would also punish people who couldn't protect you. Your aunt Aelora chose to punish the guards who didn't keep an eye on you. She might as well have chosen to execute them instead but now she didn't."
"Punish me all you want, but I won't regret it mother."
"Well you should. You didn't just defy your family or your aunt. You went against your Queen's orders and decrees. And she's right in what I think too that you're too young for these kinds of jobs and adventures. You're damn lucky that you survived. Do you think you can survive anyway out there on neither land nor sea?" Rhaenyra explained, scolding her stupid son.
"But she brought other young children."
"Elder dessitors Joffrey who needs to look after and help with housekeeping and order most of the time and they are young men who have chosen to do this job in their life. Aren't you a little sorry for what you've done?" Rhaenyra answered.
