13th January - 18th March - Roger and the band go on tour for A Day At The Races American dates
22nd January - Roger and Victoria's London apartment broken into. Although none of the family were in at the time of the break-in, Victoria relocates the children to the countryside for their safety. She can't reach Roger for several hours after the break-in due to the time difference.
9th May - Wedding
10th May - 19th May - honeymoon
23rd May - 7th June - European leg of tour A Day At The Races Tour
5th July – Roger promises Victoria that Queen will be over one day, and then he will be there more for her
6th July – 16th September – Roger relocates to Sarm studios in East London to record News of the World. This is the first album where Victoria decides to stay in the country with the kids for rather than staying in the London apartment as Lola is settled at school and the press are becoming more intrusive.
11th November – 22nd December – The band set off on the American leg of the News of the World tour. This is the first tour Victoria does not fly out for a single show.
28th October – News of the World Released
26th December – Due a delayed flight, Roger does not arrive in the UK until Boxing Day. Due to record snow levels, he is unable to make the journey to his family in the countryside for another two days
28th December – Roger arrives home for Christmas
