The princess of the Light Kingdom laid in her gorgeous garden surrounded with red, prickly roses. Although they were still covered in thorns, that didn't erase her love from their beauty. Her long black hair, being dyed by a light blue and stars (that were eventually faded into her natural black color), was getting wet by the nearby fountain she sat by. She didn't like it at first, but took the time to enjoy the nature that surrounded her. Eventually, her peace was disturbed.

"Your excellency," spoke a low voice. The princess turned to see one of her fellow knights. The shortest one: Shiho Hinomori. The knight had short silver hair, green eyes and wore on of the female dress code knight uniforms to represent the kingdom. "You have a letter from our foes," she continued, "Would you like me to read it?"

"No Shiho, thank you. I'll take it. Go ahead before your lunch break is over," the princess, An Shiraishi, took the letter from the knight and bowed. Shiho bowed back and took her place to leave.

An, herself, curiously opened the letter and immediately began to read. As a letter from the Dark Kingdom, she was expecting some kind of disrespect from the letter. This one was different.

Dear Princess Shiraishi,

Whenever I see you in any war, I feel my heart turn multiple directions. It felt weird at first, but the more I saw you, the more I got used to it. Whenever I am upset or bored, I easily get any thought of you in my mind: Your gorgeous black hair, your stunning face, your sweet voice. I don't know how I can prevent myself from wrapping my arms around you when we see each other face to face. We are apparently in feuding worlds, where we are in a horrible disagreement with each other. Not just me and you, but everyone in each of our worlds. It's like we are in some kind of Romeo and Juliet environment.

But, my love, if I get caught writing this letter to you, I may be beheaded. So I must make this short. If we ever get the chance to meet, I know that you won't know what I look like. I hope that when we do meet, you are able to have the feelings I feel for you, even if it's not possible.

It ends there. An was completely shocked. A love letter? From a person in the Dark Kingdom? Who could it even be? Her yellow eyes staring at the letter, An could see that the handwriting looked...jittery. Like someone's hand was shaking while writing this letter. An couldn't help but smile a little bit. Reading the letter over and over, An's cheeks heated a little.

Am I getting this confused? Is this actually for me?, she thought. But at the top, it had her last name.

Someone in the Dark Kingdom...in love with the princess of the Light Kingdom.

<Gates>
"I wasn't late this time!" said the long pink haired knight, Mizuki Akiyama.

"Sure you weren't. How come I always have to keep the gates open for you? Can't you get here on time?" said the orange haired knight, Akito Shinonome.

"I said I wasn't late."

"Here I am though, holding the gates for you."

"Okay okay, I never win. Thanks Lil Bro~" Mizuki smiled, playfully putting their finger on the tip of Akito's nose, causing his eyes to widen.

"Are you two arguing again? Come on, we have work to do," said Shiho, who just happened to be walking over. "Akito. The princess specifically told you to stop holding the gates open when they are supposed to be closed. If Mizuki is late, that's their fault."

Akito rolled his eyes. "You know I don't listen to everything the princess says, right? I'm not extremely loyal like you, Shiho."

"Comrades! We must head out into the kingdom! The princess received a HORRIFYING letter!" said the leader of the knights, Tsukasa Tenma. He sounded serious, for once in Akito's head, which drew all the knights bare attention. As he led the way, everyone followed, keeping one hand on their swords for any false alarm.
