I have decided to change this chapter up a bit by letting you see things through Catherine's eyes. That way you understand a little more about Elias and Catherine.
Catherine's POV:
"Elias, you are the most unintelligent man in the entire world." I snap, sitting in the chair Archibald was just seated in.
"What do you mean by that Catherine?" He questions looking up at me.
"You were interrogating him, pressuring him as though he has killed a man in your home."
Elias grins, "He might soon."
"Elias! Why on earth would you want that to happen?" I yell standing up.
"Because he would feel remorse and stay, which I want him to." Elias states, putting an even bigger smile on his face just from the idea. "Catherine, you just need to calm down. I want to keep Archibald close, and make him one of us."
"Elias, you do not understand him, do you? His story is complicated and has often ended in sadness. He is a very hurt person." I step closer to the desk and putting my hand down hard.
Leaning closer to the desk, Elias puts his hand on mine, the touch giving a soft tingle through me. Reminding me how much I actually love the man in front of me.
"Catherine, I reassure you that he will not get hurt, my love. I know that one thing that he wants is revenge, and the person he wants his true revenge to hit, is someone I want to get hit, hard."
I stare at him dumbfounded. I, at least, never told him Archibald's story or what he has been seeking, so how would he know?
He stands up, still behind the desk, getting closer to my face, "Please, Catherine, trust me."
"I trust you." I say softly, letting his lips collide with mine.
