Killua's POV (play video)

Y/n's sorrowful smile flashed in my head millions of times, it seems. And those words she spoke...

Wouldn't you come back for me? No, that was too selfish. Whoever was pounding the ground like that, was endangering the lives of everyone in the city. So I can't complain. But I want to hold my y/n. I want to keep her safe.

Alluka felt the same, just not the holding thing. Her face was stained with tears, which twisted my heart. I was holding her bridal-style, so I could see her whole face.

"Brother, let's go back. She probably needs us...!" She yelled every five minutes. Deep down in my heart, I knew that y/n didn't need us for this fight. Well, that depended on who she was fighting. If she was fighting some perverted guy like Hisoka, then I'd be worried.

...Even then, she wouldn't want any help.

Once we were far enough, I dug the tips of my shoes into the ground, kinda like brakes on a car. The moment I stopped, Alluka hopped off my arms and faced me.

"Dammit, Brother! Why won't you listen?!" She stomped her foot on the ground.

After taking two deep breaths, I exhaled and looked at her calmly. "Alluka, I've given you everything up until now. Life's not all about getting what you want."

"Says the guy who kicked someone's head off for taking his chocolate bar!" Alluka argued.

"I don't think straight when chocolate is involved!" I defended myself. I calmed down quickly after. "Do you want to go all the way back to where y/n is and get pushed away again?"

"If it means you kissing her again, then yes!" Alluka held Zoe closer to her.

I was taken aback. Well, not completely. She always does this. But her logic was was way off track. "Alluka, if I went to kiss her during a probable fight, I'd get killed." I leaned closer to her. "Do you want me to get killed...?" It was just to scare her.

Alluka's eyes flashed with fear, then defiance. "Brother, you love her, don't you?"

That was probably the most scathing thing she could possibly say to me. My breath hitched in my throat; I was at a loss for words. Once I could find my voice, I whispered to my sister.

"Alluka." I placed my hands on her shoulders. Her was was solemn. "I love her more than she could ever know. And... if anything happened to her... I..." I gulped down the urge to cry. "I think I would lose it."

"Brother..." Allure's face had not changed.

"I love her, Alluka. And you're right." I smiled at her. "If I want to show her how much I need her, running away from her won't solve anything."
