EXT. KFP ISLAND - HOKKAIDO, JAPAN – MORNING

It's been 3 days since Ame travelled back in time to Atlantis. Ame investigated all the mythological beings before as Aruran mentioned in chapter 1, therefore, they know where they are located. KFP (Königreich des Feurigen Phönix) island is a fictional island located in the north-west part of Hokkaido. In real life, KFP island is Rishiri Island close to Wakanai.

Aruran, Ame, and Gura arrived at the island by boat. Aruran is carrying a briefcase, Ame is carrying a Guitar case bag, and Gura has a backpack. Gura is mesmerized by the town's architecture, as it is different from Japanese architecture. KFP island's architecture is very European.

ARURAN

Here we are. Welcome
to Königreich des
Feurigen Phönix island.

GURA

A what island?

ARURAN

That's a lot of
words. I'm not gonna
repeat that...
In English, the
island is called
Kingdom of the
Fiery Phoenix's
island. Just call
it KFP island.

GURA

Kingdom? This
isn't a kingdom.
This is just a
German town in
Japan!

Man... I'm tired.
I wanna rest.

ARURAN

You two can find
some place to
stay here.

Take a rest first
then tomorrow, you
two will find the
phoenix's lair.

GURA

Us two? Won't
you help us
"tame" this
phoenix?

ARURAN

No. Sorry... I have
my own matters to
deal with back in
Tokyo.

AME

Like what?

ARURAN

Amelia... You know I'm
not just a teacher
and a detective.

I'm a man with many
guises, you can
tell that I'm a
pretty busy man.

AME

What exactly is
keeping you busy?

Because it sounds
like you're
just making excuses
to me.

Tell me what is
exactly keeping you
busy, old man.

ARURAN

*long sigh*
Look, I'm sorry
if you don't
believe me, but
that's all I can
tell you.

AME
(pissed)

...
You know, old man.
Ever since you had
me investigate these
mythical creatures
of yours, you started
to smell fishy.

You taught me how
to be a good
detective, and
you did a great
job into making
me one.

You're just full
of lies and excuses
and secrets recently
that I can't just
trust you anymore.
