School buses

So now let's look at the school yard, where five school buses live. The garages they live in are not too big. (The buses called Jaxon, Lena, Mia, Nolan and Connor)

They take the students to school five times a week.
Students sometimes feed the buses with sweets and other snacks, although the school staff is against it.

It was afternoon. Jaxon was washed. He was very pleased and he stood with his eyes closed.
"For some reason you remind me of my cat when I pet him"
"Am I like the cat? Well, I'm like. At least I have four limbs too!"
The man chuckled at the bus' comment.

"I wonder why some teachers are mean?" Lena thought. She stood in front of the school window and looked at the teacher, who, as she knew from the rumors from students, was a rather mean.
Mia at this time examined the boxes standing near the street entrance to the dining room.
"What's there? Juice? Bread? Potato?" Guessed the bus.
Nolan and Connor just stood in the garage and talking.

Different students finish their lessons at different times. So the buses made several trips. School buses are usually used by grades 1-7, while grades 8-11 use them rarely and mostly ride public buses.
Of course, there are many students who live near the school and go to school themselves. Also many who get to school by car.
School buses were not used on weekends. On weekdays there were a few hours when the buses were not in use because all students had lessons at that time. So school buses have more free time than public buses.

While the buses were waiting for the next ride, they were talking to the cars that had come to take some students from school.
The school bell rang. Students left the school.
"How are you, Jaxon?" one boy asked
"Good! I got washed today and it was pleasure. I was told that at that time I looked like a cat"
"Kitty!" The boy stroked the bumper of the bus
At this time, the girl quietly brought cookies to Nolan.
"I don't understand why stuff forbid us to feed you?"
"Well, maybe they're afraid that you'll give us too much. If you give too much, it can be harmful for our systems" Nolan answered.
The students boarded the buses.
"Please, no gum under the seats, no drawings on the seats, and no trash!" Mia said sternly to the students.

It was Friday and the buses were waiting for two whole weekends.
When all the students and almost all school stuff were already at home, buses decided to have some fun.

So what did the buses do:
They tickled each other.
Then they tried to turn each other on their side.
In fact, they don't do all these things often, but sometimes they want to misbehave when no one sees and cannot scold.
The next day they were calmer. All they did all day was talk to each other and to the cars parked in the parking lots next to the school and to the houses nearby.

Note from the author: I had an idea to write a story about school buses back in the autumn of 2021. Also, I did not choose a specific basis for these buses.
