"Who was that man?" Hyunjin questioned, as he followed Felix.

"He was just someone I met," Felix stated, entering the palace.

"Yes, someone you-" "Your royal highness, we have just gotten word that Countess Min will not be able to promenade today, as she has fallen sick," Ms Song said.

"Oh, please send my regards and please send her some of her favourite chocolates,"

   The woman nodded and left.

"Our conversation is not over, your royal highness," Hyunjin stated following Felix.

  "I do think it is,"

"It is my duty to look after you and what you did put you in great danger,"

"It is not as if I got on a horse and left town! All I did was go into town!" Felix exclaimed.

"It still could have put you in a great deal of danger!" Hyunjin stated loudly.

Felix rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

"You are acting like a petulant two year old," Hyunjin said.

The younger scoffed, "You are acting as if you are my father!"

"Perhaps, I should fill your father and mother in on what you pulled,"

  "You wouldn't dare," Felix said.

Hyunjin raised a brow, "Yeonjun, please watch the prince, as I need to inform his parents about what he has just done," he said, calling over the other guard.

    "Okay," the other said.

Felix groaned and turned going to his room.

Once he was in there Hyunjin hummed, "You may leave, Yeonjun,"

"Are you going to tell them?"

"I will, but I would like to allow the prince to have a moment. However, please make Sure that the perimeter is tightly guarded, we do not need the price to pull another escape act,"

Yeonjun nodded and went to do just that.

Hyunjin sighed and went up to the door and knocked.

  "Go away,"

"Your royal highness, you must understand, your safety is my first priority and it always will be, so when you run off like that I am obligated to tell your parents, even if you do not think it necessary.

I have let this go many times before, because I always quickly found you or you were back only an hour after you left, however, that was not the case for today, therefore I cannot let it slide," Hyunjin explained.

The door opened and Felix had tears in his eyes, "What I understand is that the only reason you are telling them is so you don't get in trouble for not being with me, because if you do get in trouble you will not be here anymore,"

Hyunjin was quick to enter the room and close the door.

"Then you clearly do not understand a thing. I am not telling them to make sure I do not get in trouble, I am telling them because I care for you, because if something were to have happened to you today, I would not be able to live with the very fact that I was not able to get to you,"

"So you are simply telling them to clear your mind of any guilt you may have?"

Hyunjin huffed, it was so difficult to express what he was feeling.

"My gods, no, that is not what I meant,"

"Then what do you mean? Because all of what you have said seems like nonsen-"

Felix was surprised to feel Hyunjin's lips on his, but his eyes quickly shut and he kissed back just as quickly.

His hands tugged softly at the silk shirt Hyunjin was wearing.

The small action bringing Hyunjin back to reality.

Hyunjin pulled away quickly, the back of his hand pressed softly against his lips.

"Hyunjin?" Felix said softly.

The older took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

"I am very sorry, your royal highness. I should not have done that," Hyunjin said.

Felix not able to get a word in as Hyunjin left quickly.

  -

"I take full responsibility for what happened today, if I had been here earlier, the prince would not have done that," Hyunjin said.

"Hyunjin, dear, it is not your fault nor will you be taking any responsibility for it. Felix is unharmed and is safe in his room. He is also old enough to know he should not do something like that," the woman stated.

   Hyunjin nodded.

"I have one thing to request,"

   "What is it?" She asked.

"I request that for a few days at least, someone else be the prince's guard," Hyunjin said.

   "I must ask why,"

The ravenet pursed his lips, "I made a promise to myself when I first became the prince's guard many years ago and I broke it, greatly. I need a moment to step back and decide if I should continue to be his guard or if I should step away permanently, as this promise that I broke can affect the way I protect him… immensely," he explained.

The queen smiled softly, "Eight days, Hyunjin. I shall give you eight days time to decide what you would like to do," she told him.

   "Thank you, your majesty,"

Hyunjin turned around to walk away.

"Hyunjin," He stopped and turned around.

"A promise that you made to yourself when you were merely eight should not dictated how you feel or what you do. While yes, it is a promise it is one you made while you were very young," she said.

Hyunjin was to say something but instead he nodded and began to leave.

   Is she right?
