It's now exactly a week after her chemistry read, her and Jack had been talking occasionally for the past week.
Emersyn lays in bed watching the modern family when she sees an incoming call from her agent.
She answers thinking she may have found a new audition for her or something, the chemistry read being basically forgotten.
"Hello?" She greets her agent, Laura. "Hey Emersyn, remember that chemistry read last week?" Laura asks the girl.
"Yeah, why?" she asks getting up from her spot on her bed. "Well the casting director called, and you booked the role!" she says joyfully. "Really? thank you so much, im so excited!" Emersyn says trying not to scream.
"Good, good, filming starts in a month, but you're being flown to Nebraska in like two-ish weeks. i'll send you the details so you can go over it with your parents." They then say their goodbyes and hang up.
Emersyn runs out her room and to her parents bedroom. "Mom, Dad!" she yells upon entering their room.
"What's up?" Her dad asks as her mom walks into the room from the bathroom connected to their room.
"Guess what!" Emersyn says with a grin plastered on her face. "What?" Her mother now replies as she puts down her brush, and her father puts down his book.
"i got the part!" she squeals as her parents once confused faces morph into smiles. "That's amazing kiddo!" Her dad grins and her mom says the something along the same lines.
She ends up sitting in her parents room for about an hour discussing the details about the flights before her parents had to head to a dinner with their friends.
After her parents left she pulled out her phone to text some of her friends the news.
