It Started with a One-Night Stand

New Story - Option 1

Title: To Be Loved

Scene:

It was late at night and Taehyung arrived at Jisoo's place as she asked him to come.

Jisoo: "You're finally here."

She was standing steadily in the dimly lit living room.

Taehyung: "What happened?" He was confused.

Jisoo didn't say a word rather she placed a document on the table. This made Taehyung frown.

Confused, he picked up the document and started reading through it.

Jisoo: "I'm terminating the contract effective tomorrow. After this night, you will no longer need to fulfill the responsibilities I asked you to do for me. Your salary and other benefits have been transferred to your bank account." She said expressionlessly.

Hearing what she said, Taehyung didn't bother to read through what was written on the white sheet of paper.

It seems that time finally has come, the time that he has been waiting for. But how come there's this unexplainable feeling creeping into his heart?

Taehyung: "What is this act again? Why did you suddenly decide to end this?" He can't help but ask.

Jisoo: "I'm tired of this game. I'm done playing." She answered.

Taehyung smiled bitterly.

Taehyung: "Really? You're done playing with me? That's why you suddenly changed your mind?" There was sarcasm in his tone.

Taehyung: "Are you really done playing? Or is this your trick again? You're playing pity this time, aren't you?" He said, sarcastically.

Jisoo remained silent for some time with an indifferent look on her face.

Jisoo: "Pity? I guess that's all you think about me. That's how you feel towards me."

Jisoo: "Pity... That's what you felt for me at that time so you allowed that to happen last night."

She was referring to their intimate moment that happened the night before. Taehyung was surprised. How did she know? Did she hear him having that conversation with his friend?

Jisoo: "Maybe you're right. That's all that you could feel for me."

Taehyung: "And what else do you expect me to feel for you? Love? Do you really think that I could love you?" He asked, bitterly.

Although he felt pain in his heart, his mind seemed to be clouded. He's not thinking straight.

Taehyung: "How can I love someone who's manipulative as you? Someone who wants to control the life of others? You're the complete opposite of what I wanted in my life!"

If words could kill then she would have died just now.

Jisoo: "I know."

After that was said, the room turned dead silent. No one dared to speak.

Jisoo: "And I know that there's no hope between us. The kindness you have shown me is all because I forced you to be in this situation. Nothing more. So I want to wake up to this dream and make things right for you."

Jisoo: "Everyone thinks that I have not done any good in this life. I think they're right. So maybe just this time, just once, I'll make the right decision. It may not be for me but ... for you. I don't want to make things difficult for you anymore."

Jisoo: "So I'm ending this now. You're free, Taehyung."

Jisoo: "Please live a happy life with the person you love."

Taehyung doesn't know what to feel right now. Even he can't understand what he's feeling.

Jisoo was there, standing still looking at him with tears that she was trying to hold. Although she's showing him that she's strong, he can see through her eyes... She's hurting inside.

Taehyung lost all the words that he wanted to say. He's speechless.

Seeing no reaction from him, Jisoo spoke again.

Jisoo: "I appreciate your service, Mr. Kim. Thank you!"

She turned around and started walking away.

So I'm listening to songs when To be loved by Adele came playing. I was deeply affected of the song that I had to write what I'm feeling while I'm listening to it.

The concept of this story is sentimental, am not sure if you would like it. But let me know. :)
