At 7am, Tony awoke and started preparing to head to the airport, overcome with anticipation about what would happen when he would finally see Kerry. Throughout the night he had thought about calling her or something, just to put his mind at ease. After all, it had been a while.
After he did his final checks of his suitcase, making sure he had his book and hair products (because he had forgotten to bring them last time and had to buy some at the airport and it was a long flight without something to read) he headed towards the door.
When driving to the airport, he was in constant turmoil with his own mind, fighting to keep his mind on the road as he forced Kerry out of his head but he had no success.
it was almost like if he had given her a flower for every time he had thought of her, she would only get one flower because she was a constant thought, scorched onto his brain, her image embedded so deep in his mind that in some strange way, she was a part of him.
Only after finally parking his car and wheeling his luggage into the airport did he finally see her.
She was wearing a short, ivory summer dress with blue lilies embroidered all over it with some blue heels of the same shade to match. Her hair down and lightly curled, draping down her back and lightly swaying whenever she was in deep conversation.
She. Looked. Flawless.
He didn't want to make it so blatantly obvious that he was looking at her in such adoration and instead headed towards the group in short, confident strides.
He was greeted politely by the group, shaking hands with them all and asking them how they all were. Him and Kerry hadn't spoken yet and when they were called to start boarding the plane and the group began to leave towards the terminal they just stared into each other's eyes for the longest second Tony thought he had ever experienced. It was almost a a look of acknowledgment that they had both missed each other but were both too stubborn to actually admit it to one another.
He quickly snapped out of his trance and headed towards the plane, without realising that he had clutched her hand and bringing her with him."Tony? What are you doing?" Kerry questioned as he continued to bring her towards the terminal, still holding her smaller hand in his larger one.
"We're going to the terminal" Tony stated in a monotone voice, almost as if he was stating the obvious.
Once they reached the terminal and began boarding he reluctantly released her hand and headed to his designated seat, where he stored his overhead luggage and sat down between Joshua Malina and Jeff Perry.
Two rows in front of him sat Kerry who shared her row with Scott Foley and Bellamy Young. Unlike Tony, she had the window seat instead of the middle one which meant he could see her clearly. When Joshua tried to engage in conversation with Tony he just made some small talk and let Josh do the rest. He couldn't really be bothered, not when Scott was making Kerry laugh at one of his remarks, he couldn't help but feel intrigued and felt a pang of jealousy hit him in the chest and slight agitation start to bubble in his stomach.
He was about to drift to sleep to distract himself when he caught the end of Scott's sentence when talking to Kerry.
"Would you call this standing in the sun"
