Chapter 5 - first nice thing..

Third person pov

Mari rubs her eyes, waking up, fluttering her eyes awake..her annoying alarm clock going off..it's 6:30am..it's..time for school..

"So..so tired.." mari mumbles, exhausted from the day prior..

She takes the sheets off her gently and drags her feet to the bathroom
She takes a look in the mirror

"Yikes.." she mumbles more before brushing her teeth, waiting for Sunny to join her

Sunny gets out of bed, almost the same way as mari but probably more grumpy and tired he basically crawls his way to the bathroom before Brushing his teeth beside mari

as they finish brushing their teeth, Sunny leaves the room to get dressed, mari staying in their to brush her hair and to put on some light makeup..her father would probably ground her forever if she ever wore anything more than her makeup routine now..

"Perfect!" Mari says happily, loving how her makeup looks

She rushes out of bathroom and putting her clothes on, Sunny waiting on his bed putting his socks on

"Are you done yet mari ?" Sunny asks impatiently.
"Yep ! And I'm done !" Mari says doing a little twirl, happy how her outfit has came out for the day

Mari swiftly puts her socks and shoes on, and notices the time

"Crap it's already 7 ? We need really to start walking to school ! Come on !" Mari says, grabbing Sunny hand and leading him down the stairs and into the living room

"Mari let me grab my lunch !" Sunny says runs into the kitchen getting his lunch while mari get her and his backpack..she forgets something important..

"Here you go Sunny let's hurry !"
Mari says, handing Sunny her backup then leaving the house, still leaving something super important..

Mari walks Sunny to school peacefully and hurries to her school, making sure she makes it to her first period class right on time !

"Phew.." mari says, stammering into her orchestra class and opening up her music book just to notice..

"I forgot my lunch.." mari whispers frustrated

Mari friend goes up to mari, confused why mari looks a little frustrated

"Hey mari ! What's up !"
Mari looks up at her friend and smiles

"Hey Summer !! I Just forgot my lunch !" Mari face palms herself, annoyed that she could lose something so important..

Summer smiles at mari, Mari reaction is quite funny to her but she feels some empathy

"My bad mari ! Do you need any lunch money I got some ?" Summer suggests to the frustrated mari
"Yeah please, Ugh I can't believe I forgot something so important !" Mari says, still so upset about the situation
Summer lightly ruffles mari hair, making sure not to mess up her already frustrated friend

"Don't be so upset about it ! Glad you got me to help you out !" Summer giggles, making mari laugh also

"Thanks Summer !"
Summer hands mari 5 dollars
"You don't have to thank me, this is what friends do ! Be nice to each other !" Summer says nicely before getting absolutely yelled at

"SUMMER, GO BACK TO YOUR SEAT ! STOP MESSING WITH OUR PIANIST !" Mari and summer orchestra teacher scolds summer
"Sorry ma'am ! I'll go back to my seat right now !"

Summer joins back into her viola section, mari swiftly puts the 5 dollars in her backpack making sure not to lose it and gets her piano music book out to begin to play

TIMESKIP

Mari goes through her 1-4 periods, anxious for lunch, she has never tried school lunch before, well not this year, she heard that the food tastes like plastic or burnt cardboard..mari was not excited for this experience at all

"Mari are you excited for the school lunch ! It'll be your first time trying it !" Summer says, surprising mari by running up
"Ahh ! Summer !! You scared me !" Mari laughs at summer scaring her
"Yay I finally scared you ! Anyways let's hurry to the lunch line, we have to get the good food before everyone gets it before us !"
Summer Grabs mari hand and drags her into the lunch line, mari and summer make it to the lunch line, summer runs into someone tall, mari does the same
"Oh hey..Mari.."
Mari opens her eyes to see hero, her enemy..her heart is filled with hatred but also flusterness towards hero
"Ugh hey Henry.."
Hero holds mari close to him for some reason before mari pushes him off

"Ugh you perv ! Why were you holding me like that ! Really shows you have no respect towards women and their boundaries !" Mari says while rolling her eyes, annoyed with Henry for just touching her..

"My bad mari, i forgot you never experienced a male touch before" hero snickers at mari,
Making fun of her..

"Ugh whatever Henry.." mari rolls her eyes and looks for her friend summer, who flustered by hero tall friend and is too busy looking into his eyes to notice her ticked off friend

"Summer !" Mari says trying to get her friends attention
"Huh oh mari ! I'll meet up with you later, see ya later okay mar mar !" Summer says using Mari's embarrassing nickname before leaving the lunch line leaving just mari by herself, well not really by herself, she's with hero and his "stupid" friends

Mari casually ignores them and hurries and gets her lunch, hero takes the last non meat item

"Um excuse me, do you guys have any other non meat items ? I really don't like meat and-"
"It's either this or nothing.." the lunch lady says coldly to the sweet mari

"Oh..okay, sorry for bothering !" Mari says grabbing a random lunch option, it was chicken tenders.
Hero and his friends were by the trash cans that are by the exit of getting your lunch, hero notices mari holding a meat lunch and he goes up to her while carrying his non meat lunch
"Hey I remember Sunny saying you don't like meat ? You changed your mind or what ?" Hero says trying to provoke his fellow classmate
"I don't like meat, i really hate it actually, now I have nothing to eat for lunch and I just wasted my friends money.." mari says sadly, kind of opening up a little to hero

"Oh, well you can always have mine ! I don't really enjoy the schools salad that much.." hero says, taking mari tray and replacing it with his
"You don't have to, it's fine !" Mari says reassuring, her face covering with blush with the kind action hero just did for her
"No, I want to, see ya around mari, or should I say mar mar !" Hero says before waving bye to her, still managing to tease her and be nice to her making the poor girl feeling embarrassed but flustered
"Thanks henry, see ya later.." mari says, blush all over her face

Mari walks into the music room and sits down at her usual spot, eating the salad hero gave her..
"It's not too bad.." mari mumbles under her breath before finishing the salad

Mari could only think about this interaction with hero for the rest of the day..her heart fluttering every time she thinks about it
