Alchemical Formula Of Love (Edward Elric x Reader)

Prologue

(You and Ed are 10 and Al is 9. This is just before their mother dies)

"Do you really have to go, Y/n?" Ed mumbled quietly, staring at the ground. "I'm gonna miss you, you know." I reached up to feel my cheeks get hot thinking about Ed missing me. I smiled sadly at him, taking his hand in mine. We were alone in the train station and my parents were waiting for me on the train which would leave any minute.

"Ed..." I whispered. "I'm gonna miss you too- so much. We'll meet up soon, okay?" I saw his golden eyes light up slightly as they met my e/c ones, making my heart melt. He looked so sincere- nothing like the Ed I know.

"Okay." He nodded once, grabbing me into a hug. I felt his short blonde hair tickle my neck (AN: it's shorter at the beginning of the series), making me blush violently again. Why did he do this to me? He pulled away, and I started feeling cold again. He was beginning to look nervous.

"You okay?" I asked him as his eyes left mine. He started fumbling in his pocket and took out something. I squinted slightly, but I couldn't see what he took out.

"I um... Made you something... With alchemy..." He said quietly, blushing slightly. He opened up my hand, placed an item inside it and closed it again, I squeezed the metallic object, dropping my hand to the side. "Look at it on the train... Okay?" I beamed and nodded. That's when I heard the last call for the train.

"I have to go." I said, grabbing him into another hug. "See you in a couple weeks?" He nodded happily as I jumped onto the train and stuck my head out of the window where he was standing.

"Definitely." Suddenly, he got closer. And closer.

I felt his lips brush against my cheek gently. He spun around and ran, giving me a huge grin and waving.

"Bye!" I yelled at him, waving frantically back.

"Good luck!" He replied. I watched until he was completely out of sight, and I leaned back in my seat, sighing. My aim was to become a state alchemist when I was fifteen, and it was what I was going to do. I placed my hand on the cheek where he'd kissed me, and smiled.

So basically what happened in the prologue is that you left Resombool to pursue your dream of becoming a state alchemist and you were saying your last goodbyes to Ed before you left, heh:3 hoped you liked the prologue minna!^-^
