Kian was showing a photo of his sister that their mom took of them.

Despite his sister being married to a man, she's bisexual(I decided to add this no sexuality isn't genetic.)

His sister just moved closer to his parents.

"I got a pamphlet from that Christian club. "Said Vance.

"I did too they didn't bother looking at my necklace to know I'm not even Christian the chutzpah of that guy sobrang nakakainis. "Said Julie.

Chutzpah is Yiddish and the other two words are tagalong.

Juliet speaks about five languages

Vance grew up a Christian but now he doesn't believe in god but believe it isn't impossible for a god like person to exist.

Julie is Jewish despite being Filipino- most people assume he's Catholic.

Thanksgiving was coming up.

Vance doesn't celebrate that for obvious reasons but also because his parents use to fight a lot during holidays.

Once that month was over the winter holidays arrived.

Julie was visiting his family for Hanukkah, he invited Jess to come.

At first Jess thought Julie invited him as a friend until he said something in Yiddish that translates to "I like you." 

Jess was nervous those-it took him like a whole week just to talk to his roommates and a week to talk to his new friends.

There's a menorah, brisket, those chocolate coins, challah, Kugel also these donuts called sufganiyot that once Jess tried one he wanted more.

There was also a lot of Filipino food.

"Oy vey Julietta you got so tall. "Said His Lola- Kate.

"I have Lola I also have been eating a lot. "Said Julie.

"Good you were too skinny before we got worried. "Said Mrs. Kate.

Julie refers to his grandparents as Lola and Lolo-- Lolo is the Filipino word for grandfather and Lola is the Filipino word for grandmother.

Julie's family knows he's gay and they kept asking him if Jess was his boyfriend and saying how handsome Jess was .

It was also the first time any of his friends saw him in a Yarmulke.

Julie doesn't wear them a lot because he dresses more fem.

He told his mother he didn't want to wear one anymore because he's more fem.

She didn't have a issue with it and neither did his father.
