It has been a week since y/n and I got married. We are still learning about each other and I am glad that y/n is showing interest in knowing more about me. As a vampire, I have lived for centuries and have experienced many things.

One evening, while we were sipping wine in the living room, y/n asked me about my past. He wanted to know how I became the vampire queen and where my family was. I took a deep breath and began my story.

"My family died years ago because of a virus that attacked only vampires. From my entire family, only my sister and I survived. She lives in Scotland with her husband. As for me, I was born into a noble vampire family, and my mother was the vampire queen. When she passed away, the throne was passed down to me by magic, as it was her dying request."

I paused, feeling the weight of my past on my shoulders. Y/n looked at me with concern in his eyes and reached out to hold my hand. His touch was comforting, and I continued.

"Being a queen isn't easy. There are a lot of responsibilities and expectations that come with it. I have to make tough decisions that affect my people and their well-being. Sometimes, it gets overwhelming, but I have learned to handle it over time."

Y/n nodded, understanding the weight of leadership. He then asked me how I coped with the loss of my family.

"It wasn't easy," I replied, "but I learned to move on. I found solace in my duties as a queen and in the company of my people. They became my family and my reason to keep going."

As I spoke, memories of my past flooded back. Memories of the people I have loved and lost, the wars I have fought, and the hardships I have endured. I felt a pang of loneliness, but y/n's presence brought me back to the present.

I looked at him and smiled. "Enough about me. Tell me about yourself."

And so, y/n began to tell me about his life before we met. His childhood, his dreams, and his struggles. It was nice to see a different side of him, one that was vulnerable and honest.

As the night went on, we talked and laughed, enjoying each other's company. It was a beautiful moment, and I knew that I had made the right choice in marrying him.

As we retired to bed, I snuggled up to y/n and whispered, "Thank you for understanding me and my past."

Y/n kissed my forehead and replied, "Thank you for sharing it with me. I love you, Maya."

I closed my eyes, feeling content and loved. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I had found my true home.
