Ch 15: The Queen's Responsibilities

It has been a few weeks since y/n learned how to use the black flame, and as he practiced under my watchful eye, he asked me about my responsibilities as the vampire queen. He wanted to know if I ruled over all vampires or just in our country.

I took a deep breath before answering him, as this was a serious matter. "As the vampire queen, I am responsible for keeping all vampires in line," I began. "Our race can be aggressive, and it's my duty to make sure we don't become a threat to humans."

Y/n nodded, indicating that he understood the gravity of the situation. "And do you rule over all vampires?" he asked.

"In a way, yes," I replied. "I have a select few powerful and trusted vampires around the world as part of my ministry. They help me keep things in order, and I rely on them heavily to do so."

Y/n looked thoughtful. "So you indirectly rule over all vampires, then?"

"That's right," I said. "And it's not an easy job. Being the queen comes with a lot of responsibility and sometimes even danger."

Y/n looked concerned. "What kind of danger?" he asked.

"Well, for one, there are always those who would want to overthrow me and take my place as the ruler of the vampires," I explained. "That's why I have to be very careful and have a strong network of allies."

"Like your sister in Scotland?" y/n asked.

I nodded. "Yes, she's one of my most trusted allies. She's also part of my ministry and helps me keep things in order in her region. Having a network of trusted allies around the world is essential for me to do my job effectively."

Y/n looked thoughtful again. "It sounds like a lot of work," he said.

"It is," I agreed. "But it's also very rewarding. I love my people, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to protect them and keep them safe."

Y/n smiled at me. "I have no doubt about that," he said.

We sat in silence for a moment, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for y/n's understanding and support. Being the vampire queen can be a lonely job, but having him by my side made it a little less so.

As we continued to talk about my responsibilities, I couldn't help but wonder what the future held for us. Would y/n continue to support me as the queen, even as he became more powerful in his own right? Only time would tell, but for now, I was content to bask in his love and support.
