I've always want to wake up in the morning
with your face a few inches from mine,
that idea ended up with me smiling
cause who wouldn't want to spend a future with you as we age like wine.
I love how you create handmade flowers as a gift,
that gesture made my day change in just one swift,
if he wanted to, he would; and you surely did.
the frowning magically turned into a smile, with no tears to shed.
I admire how we both love sunset together,
you said it brings a new tomorrow,
and in that, we'll be with each other.
A new day with you will always be my wish,
a day we always welcome with a tight hug and a soft kiss.
Wishes don't come true even if you wish it upon a star,
Not even a genie, a wishing well, or putting paper in a sealed jar.
Now I want to stay in the glimpse of the past,
not dreaming what the next day may bring,
cause we both have two different tomorrows, where only one of us is smiling.
