Gwen is the first to notice the Omnitrix releasing a bright orange glow and charging up of sorts.
Gwen:What's up with the watch?
Ben raises it up to his face.
Ben:I don't know...
The camera dives down into the Omnitrix, passing through green tunnels full of modules and pipes, weaving through a network of molecule-like nodes, and finally hitting a firewall. The camera is thrust back out of the tunnels, as they all change from green to orange.
Outside, the Omnitrix's hourglass symbol rhythmically beeps orange twice, then returns to normal green.
Ben:Alright! I got the green early!
They start running off.
Max:Hold off, now, Ben. Who knows what's going on with th-
Ben:But Animo's getting away! I can't catch him if I don't go hero. Stinkfly, "cleared for takeoff"!
He slams the Omnitrix down and turns into Stinkfly, his running momentum now turned into flight. Then suddenly, he starts morphing into Wildmutt, falling back on the ground. Then he morphs into Diamondhead and finally shrinks waaaay down into Grey Matter. The transformations surprise Batman so much he stops running.
Grey Matter:Sometimes I think this thing just plain hates me...
Gwen and Max walk up to Grey Matter.
Gwen:How are you planning on catching up to Animo now, 'short stuff'?
Grey Matter starts thinking. Animo continues flying on his hornet through the reactor, now inside a room with large vats of nuclear waste.
Dr. Animo (caressing the hornet's crest):Someday, my pet - those snot-nosed heroes will get theirs!
Batman:In the meantime, here's yours!
Grey Matter unexpectedly appears behind him, flying in on a hoverboard Tetrax gave him. Grey Matter smacks Animo in the eye, shattering one of his goggles. Batman appears and clocks him in the side of the head cracking the other side of his goggles. The hoverboard goes flying away and lands into a vat, sinking in. Meanwhile, as Animo reels from getting hit, Grey Matter dives into his shirt.
As Animo starts trying to grab him, he loses focus of the hornet, and it starts flying off-course, bumping into pipes.
Dr. Animo (pulling Grey Matter out):Time - to cut this little 'pygmy punk' down to size!
He throws Grey Matter straight down into a vat.
Grey Matter:Woaaah! Woah-ah!
Luckily, Grey Matter manages to grab hold of Batman's hand hanging above the vat. As Animo flies past, smiling at Ben's peril, he doesn't notice the hornet flying straight into a wall.
Animo:Aaahhh-!
They hit a large pipe and crash to the ground. Steam billows around the hornet's unconscious body, pinning Animo in place underneath it.
Grey Matter:Ooooh, that's gonna leave a mark.
The Omnitrix times out. Ben is now hanging from Batman's hand and losing his grip. He eventually slips, and starts falling into the vat of chemicals and screaming.
He braces for impact, but just before hitting it, he is stopped in midair. Ben opens his eyes as he finds himself suspended in a bubble. Gwen had formed the bubble from her spellbook.
Max:You're really getting good at some of those spells in that book!
Gwen:Practice makes perfect!
