Despite their success on the previous mission, the fight for mutant rights continued to rage on. Brian, now more committed than ever to the cause, found himself fighting alongside his father and their allies in battles both big and small.
One day, while on a mission to stop a group of anti-mutant activists from destroying a peaceful mutant gathering, Brian found himself in the midst of a fierce battle. His Onslaught suit, which had protected him in countless previous fights, was no match for the advanced weaponry of the anti-mutant group.
As he fought to protect his fellow mutants, Brian was hit by a blast from a powerful energy weapon. The impact sent him flying backwards, his body slamming into a nearby building. He felt a sharp pain shoot through his side as he hit the ground, the world spinning around him.
"Brian!" he heard his father's voice call out, the sound muffled as his vision began to blur.
He tried to stand up, but the pain was too intense. He felt a warm, wet sensation spreading across his side, and he realized with horror that he was bleeding.
"Get him out of here!" he heard his father yell, as the rest of their team rushed to his side. "We need to get him medical attention."
Brian felt himself being lifted up and carried away, the sounds of the battle fading away as he slipped into unconsciousness.
When he woke up, he was in a hospital room, surrounded by machines and monitors. His father was there, sitting by his bedside, his expression grim.
"You're lucky to be alive, son," he said, as Brian groggily looked around. "That weapon could have killed you."
Brian looked down at his side, where a large bandage covered the wound. He felt a dull ache in his side, but the pain was nothing compared to the shock and fear he felt at the realization of how close he had come to death.
"I'm sorry, Father," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I let you down."
Magneto's expression softened. "You didn't let me down, Brian," he said. "You fought bravely, and you paid the price. But you're still here, and that's what matters."
Brian nodded, feeling a mix of relief and gratitude wash over him. He knew that he had a long road to recovery ahead of him, but he also knew that he had his father and their allies by his side.
As he closed his eyes, he felt a sense of determination building within him. He knew that he couldn't let this injury hold him back, that he had to keep fighting for the rights and freedoms of all mutants, no matter what the cost. And with that thought in mind, he drifted off to sleep, ready to face whatever the future held.
As Brian recovered from his injuries, he found himself surrounded by love and support from both of his fathers. Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr had always been proud of their son, but now they were determined to spoil him rotten, making up for the pain and suffering he had endured in their fight for mutant rights.
Charles, the gentle and nurturing father, spent hours by Brian's bedside, reading him books and telling him stories of their adventures as a family. Erik, the tough and protective father, made sure that their home base was fortified and that their allies were keeping a close eye on any potential threats.
Together, they showered Brian with gifts and affection, making sure that he knew just how much they loved him. They brought him his favorite foods, played board games with him, and even allowed him to take a break from his Onslaught duties for a little while.
For the first time in a long time, Brian was able to relax and enjoy the company of his family. He felt grateful for the chance to recover, and he knew that he wouldn't be able to do it without the unwavering support of his fathers.
As the days passed, Brian's strength returned, and he was eager to get back into the fight. Charles and Erik both knew that their son had a fierce determination and a passion for mutant rights that couldn't be dampened by any injury.
And so, when the time came, they sent Brian back into the fray, knowing that he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. As he donned his Onslaught suit once again, he felt a sense of pride and purpose that he knew could only come from the love and support of his family.
No matter what the future held, Brian knew that he would always have his fathers by his side, ready to fight alongside him and support him through whatever challenges lay ahead. And with that knowledge in his heart, he stepped out into the world once again, ready to make a difference in the fight for mutant rights.
