Shiro x Reader oneshots!

(Y/N) woke up very suddenly, panting and his eyes darting around his room. He'd been having nightmares for a few nights but hadn't said anything because he felt it was stupid.
He tiptoed down the halls to Shiro's door, for a minute he wondered if he should just go back because it was stupid like he thought.

"Shiro, are you up?" He said quietly, though he thought he'd said it very loud.

"Mhm, what's up?.." He whispered, his eyes hardly even open.

"Can I...sleep with you?" He felt like a child, tempted to just quickly go back to his own room.

"Sure.." Shiro murmured, moving over a bit so (Y/N) could lie down next to him. He managed to fall asleep quite quickly without any interruption from a nightmare or anything. He woke up quite early and couldn't get back to sleep whatsoever. He ended up going back to his room at 6:45am, he got dressed into normal clothes and just laid in bed because he was tired yet couldn't get any sleep whatsoever. He thought he could maybe train but didn't want to wake anyone up.
Eventually he thought everyone must be awake so he went to train. It was a bit harder because he was so tired and a bit weak, he was quickly losing motivation to keep training but didn't want to stop. He had to turn the bot off because he felt so weak, he heard footsteps and looked over to see Shiro.

"How come your training so early?" He asked while (Y/N) went and sat against the wall.

"Dunno, I woke up a bit earlier and got bored" He yawned, sitting against the wall and rubbing his eyes.

"Really? You still seem a bit tired" Shiro crouched down next to him.

"Nah, I'm fine" He said quickly before getting a small kiss from Shiro.

"Okay then" He stood up again and left the training wing, humming something quietly.
(Y/N) left a moment later and went to his room, flopping onto his bed. He fell asleep for five minutes, tops.

"Why can't I just sleep?.." He murmured. And got up again, realising everyone would be eating. He met everyone else at the table, though he didn't have the energy to eat anything. He had dark marks under his eyes, they made him look a bit sickly.

"Are you okay?" Shiro asked him quietly.

"Yeah I'm okay" He put on a fake smile.

"Your sure?"

"I'm sure" He eyed away and picked at his finger, something he did as a anxious fidget.
Awhile later he tried sleeping again, managing to fall into a light sleep but woke up again from another nightmare. He was breathing a bit quicker, unable to think about anything else. Shiro came in a few minutes later, he was still just sitting against the wall while hugging his knees to his chest.

"Hey, my love, are you alright? I know I asked earlier but you just seem stressed about something or a bit distant" He sat down next to (Y/N) and held his hand.

"Your not just gonna like...randomly leave me. Right?" He asked quietly.

"Of course not. What gave you that idea?" Shiro sounded a tad offended that he'd even think that.

"I, just" He sighed deeply before continuing,
"I've been having like a few nightmares and it's not really anything, it's whatever.." He murmured, feeling stupid.

"What about?"

"Just uhm, like, im on my own when I was in a bad place before and then you were there and like laughed at me and shit" His voice broke at the end, not realising he was almost crying. He felt so ridiculously stupid and idiotic, he thought he was so childish and that Shiro would start laughing at him.

"It's okay, come here love" He turned around more and held his arms out until (Y/N) launched himself into Shiro's arms, tightly hugging him.

"I'm sorry I'm childish" He sniffled, his entire body tense.

"Your not childish, everyone gets nightmares it doesn't matter your age" He managed to pull (Y/N) off him and held his face gently.
"Are you alright now?" He asked quietly.

"Bit better, but I'm so tired.." He sighed and let his head fall back onto Shiro's chest.

"You want to sleep then?"

"Yes please"
