CHANTEL
I sat in the middle of the room in confusion and worry. I thought I had this all covered up,I would not fall pregnant, just enjoy chowing his money but somehow here I was on the other side. The door opened,I jumped and Mandisa walked in.
Mandisa: You do know that you are not locked in here?
Me:I also do know the guards won't let me leave either.
Mandisa:He must have told you that it was rumours that he likes them very young right?
Me:Why am I here?
Mandisa:Let me tell you a secret,I have three children and my husband is expecting a fifth one. I am sure you are smart enough to do your own calculations.
Me: Where is the fourth child?
Mandisa:Probably the world doesn't know he has a second wife, almost same age as my oldest son. She was clever enough to keep herself busy.
Me:And you let her?
Mandisa: Actually I helped her.
I looked at the delusional woman in shock.
Me: You?
Mandisa:I have come to accept that my husband will not stop cheating ever,so dear use your pregnancy to make yourself rich.
I was about to respond,I heard footsteps and her face changed. The Governor walked in.
Mandisa:This is what you do with these young girls huh? You have no shame Zakwe!
Zakwe: You shouldn't have brought her here.
Mandisa:Ohh she should just abort the baby then.
Zakwe: She's pregnant?
Me:I am not.
Mandisa gave me a look.
Me:I did not know that I was.
I didn't understand how I got pregnant,I always used contraception.
Zakwe:I have to talk to her.
Mandisa:In my house? Are you for real?
She walked out anyway.
Zakwe:I am going to be a father which is a good thing.
Is this man crazy or I am high?
Me:That was not the agreement we had Governor,I can't have a child with a man twice my age.
Zakwe:We could get married.
I'm high,yeah.
Me:Marry you so that I trend? Are you out of your mind?
Zakwe:We are keeping that child, do you understand me?Unless you don't want to live anymore.
I looked at him in fear.
Zakwe:I thought as much. Get yourself together.
He walked out,it wasn't long before Mandisa walked in.
Mandisa: The faster you understand that you will not leave this house until you have accepted what is going on,the faster your life becomes normal.
Me: You shouldn't have brought me here then.
Mandisa: You will wind up in a body bag with your defiance, ask Alfred Msiza, well he's dead to answer. There are some clothes in the closet, shower and be down for supper.

ANDILE NINGIZA
I was surprised to find CV's because I swear I saw a lot of people applying for the job. I looked through the CV's until I found hers, she was very qualified alright. I took the rest of the CV's to the grinding machine and called my P.A.
Me:Uhm I need you to email Miss Barbea Black and tell her that she should start first thing Monday morning.
Voice: You have conducted interviews already?
Me:I didn't but she qualifies for the job,my father would agree.
Voice: I'll do that.
I don't know but something about her was interesting, she looked innocent but I don't know what attracted me. My phone rang.
Me:Vanessa.
Vanessa: Your mother brings home one of Dad's many mistress who just happens to be pregnant.
Me: Again?
Vanessa: Again.
Me: Where is Dad?
Vanessa:Not here yet.
Me: I'll talk to Mom when I get back.
A knock echoed.
Me:I have to go,talk later.
Zama walked in.
Me:Hey.
She smiled, kissed my cheek before sitting down.
Me:What are you doing here?
Zama: Visiting you Andile.
Me:I thought we talked about you showing up here unannounced.
She frowned in annoyance.
Zama: Because you want to cheat in peace?
Me:Not this again.
Zama:I was with your P.A when you called to tell her that you are not doing any interviews, you just chose one person and the last time you did, you slept with the girl.
Me:Look at these CV's and tell me if she doesn't stand out. Here.
She looked at them.
Zama:Is this suppose to make me trust you?
Me:If you didn't forgive me in the first place, should have said so.
Zama:I used to feel guilty when you dropped that line but not anymore my dear. Oh no ways,I have had enough of you Andile. Cheat again,I dare you.
She got up and walked out.
Me:Nxxx!
If she thinks I will run after her,she clearly has the wildest dreams ever because I wasn't going to.

LYDIA MSIZA
I dial the number again.
Voice:The subscriber you have dialled is not available.
It has been like that for years now,Nonhle must have blacklisted my number from calling her. Just as I was about to step out of the car,my phone vibrated.
Me:Hello?
Voice:Hell, am I talking to Mrs Lydia Msiza?
Me:Uhm yes.
Voice: I'm Detective Minenhle Ndlovu,I know it's not the right time to talk to you but I have been trying to track your daughter.
Me:Track?
Voice:Nonhle Msiza. I have been trying to locate her but she's nowhere to be found. Her name hasn't been used in over a decade now.
Me:Why are you looking for her?
Voice: Your husband and family's homicide has been reopened in the light of new evidence that might support that Nonhle Msiza was not being delusional.
Me:I am afraid the psychologist said so.
Voice:Yes,that could have been paid to do that.
Me:Nonhle Msiza left this country after her father and siblings were buried,I haven't seen her since then.
Voice:That Could explain the non activity all these years. Do you have any recent pictures?
Me:I just said,I haven't seen her in years.
That wasn't a lie,I have not seen her since she started high school,I didn't want to bother or anger her. She had quite the temper plus she hated me with all of her heart.
Voice:She left the country with who?
Me:Her uncle.
Voice: Sbakhulu?
Me:Yes.
Voice:Funny,I talked to him and he also has not seen her in years.
Me:Look I don't know where she is and the only person who could tell us is also dead.
Voice: She's your daughter,I refuse to believe tha-
I dropped the call and walked out of the car. The security opened the door and I just stepped in. I took off my shoes and the lights turn on. I look at the person and shook my head.
Me:Hello to you too.
Smith: You have been avoiding my calls.
Me: Been trying to find my daughter.
Smith:Still AWOL?
Me: I feel like Sbakhulu has cameras in his house, all these years I have went there, surprising them and I still do not see my daughter. Is she even alive?
Smith:Well what happened took a toll on her.
Me:But I just need to know if she's alright.
Smith: You are still the woman who paid a psychologist to deem her crazy.
Me:Well,I had to keep her alive. Who is running the country while you are here?
Smith: There's a First Lady for a reason.
Me:Still something is not right, out with it.
Smith:Interpol has concluded that what happened to Alfred was an assassination planned on the inside.
I blinked.
Me:The detective -
Smith:Is investigating the case,I think you should stop trying to talk to your daughter or they will find her. She's better off unknown and undiscovered.
