"Oh, hey Merodak." I wonder why he's here. I stood up and greeted him. He seemed alarmed and depressed. "Did you put us in here? And why are you here, where Drew will freak out?" I asked him curiously.

"I did not come to bother anyone; I also did not bring you two in here. I came here to make sure Desmond has not taken Drew. He already took Darren and I am fearful that he will take her next. I am sure of it that he is going to kill them. They are the only people whom can stop him and I am predicting that he is taking them while they are still vulnerable." I got frightened by the news he gave me. I don't want Drew to die, let alone dying from Destiny's cruel rage. "What do you want me to do?" I asked.

"All you can do is make sure she is never alone. Keep her from going outside too much." I hated the idea that popped in my head but I had to do it. I had to get her grounded even longer. I already did in a way when I slept the night. "I swear on my life that I will defend her, whatever it takes. In honour of Master Shan." I bowed after my vow and his face got enlightened but then it changed to sorrow. I guess he was thinking that I was only a weak human. He's right. Not even an army of full blood vampires have a chance against Tiny. He nodded his head and flitted off. I can't believe Darren was taken. I was sure that the human scents would disguise his vampiric scent. But, was I wrong? Drew started rustling in her sleep. I should go but I have to protect her. I'll just lay back down on the sofa and relax. It was still early; around 7 O'clock. I knew I shouldn't have but I fell back to sleep.

Once again I woke up to a bad awakening. "Brandon, Brandon, Brandon." Someone was shaking me awake. "Yes?" I questioned the person. "I have to ask you to leave." I opened my eyes and saw Drew's mom. "Sorry, honey but Drew is grounded. You are not allowed to come over for two months. As much as we adore your company, she disobeyed us." I got up all wobbly and a little dazed out still. "Yes, ma'am I will see her tomorrow. Sorry for being here."

"Sweetie, it's not your fault. We will see you soon." I said adios and went downstairs and home after that. Yay, my plan worked. Now, what am I supposed to do? I can't even see the love of my life/best friend. Ugh, I shouldn't have gotten her in more trouble. All I can do is only hope Merodak will always be there when I'm not. I'm sure he will, he is a trustworthy and loyal vampire. But, Drew's mom didn't say she's not allowed to come over to my house. I am such a troublemaker and sometimes we both get in trouble for the same thing, it's a no brainer why we're friends.

I'll just go home for now. I'm going to be bored to death without my partner in crime. I just hope that Darren is okay. He's only seven and a half physically and not that strong compared to a man. Not to mention that that is not even a man but a beast. I need to tell Drew soon about her past if Merodak doesn't act fast. The fate of Darren living is a life and death situation. Also, Drew couldn't complete the prophecy without her brother. I finally got home and my mom was home. I rang the doorbell (I was too lazy to unlock it myself). Miss Maria opened the door (she's my maid). "Mom? Where are you?" I asked with an echo following.

"I'm in here. I came to see my young man, making sure he's alright." I walked into the study room right next to the living room. "Yeah mom, I'm okay. I don't know why I wouldn't."

"Well, honey... there has been a lot of killings lately and I wanted to make sure you were fine. I know I'm not around much but I hired a couple of bodyguards for you. They only come if you call them and they come fast, just in case you need help." Ugh, my mom is such a worry freak. I don't need any babysitters to take care of me or even help me. "You know I will be fine. If they knew who I was they would leave me alone." I said, reminding her.
