I awake at noon and of course the first thing I do when I get up is check my phone. I'm surprised to see that I have three new messages from Ty. I don't want to know what he thinks of me now. I think to myself and swype away the notifications.

"Hailey, I'm heading out to work but we need to hangout after I get home!" Sarah shouts from the front of the house.

"Yeah for sure! When do you get off today?" I say getting out of bed, while draging the blankets with me. I'm just not ready for today.

"Um I'm not sure, I'll text you as soon as I find out. Crap! I gotta go, I'm going to be late." She hurries out the door and I hear her car pull out of the driveway before I move again.

I make myself lunch and just think about what happened yesterday. I don't have feelings for Ty but I didn't need to be so mean about it. Despite how I treated him he was nice to me. The rumors that I stupidly let myself believe don't seem to be true at all. He didn't make a single move on me besides his corny jokes but what harm were those really doing? I'll call him later to apologize and hope that he'll forgive me.

As I'm washing the dishes the doorbell rings. After opening the door I don't see anyone but when I look down I see a box with a note attached that reads, "to Hailey aka the girl who still owes me a date. Be ready at 6, beautiful." After reading the note I know exactly who it's from. After opening the box I see a beautiful black satin dress. It's long and has a heart top but there's no way he could've guessed my size. I check the tag expecting to see the dress size too big but it's the right size. I admire the dress for a while but eventually I realize that it's 4:30 and I should get ready.

First I do my makeup; I try to keep it simple but still elegant, like my dress. I curl my hair and pin back my bangs so that they don't fall in my face during whatever Ty and I do tonight. Even though I tried to be simple and quick, my makeup and hair took an hour and before I knew what was happening it was 5:30. I hurridly put on my dress and my white pumps to keep the dress from dragging.

When I hear the doorbell ring I quickly grab a bag and my phone then rush to the door. I open the door and there stands a cleaned up Ty.

"You look beautiful." He breathes.

I blush and reply, "You clean up nicely."

"Thanks," he chuckles, "I didn't know if you would come tonight." he says and looks at the ground.

I reach up and touch his cheek, "Of course I came, I'm really sorry about last night. I didn't mean anything that I said."

"Yes you did." He answers sadly and I open my mouth to say something but he cuts me off to say, "But let's have a good night and pretend that it didn't happen." As quickly as his smile had gone it came back and I couldn't help but smile too.

As he helps me into the car he asks, "Did you ever read my texts?"

"Oh no! I completely forgot." I pull out my phone and am shocked when I read what the messages say.
