Where do we go from here?

"You are awfully quiet today," Amber said as they headed to class. Allison was not ready to tell her about what happened last night with Benjamin. However, she was excited to tell her about the party. "Well, I finally talked to my dad about the party," Allison said.

"Don't keep me in suspense," Amber said hanging on to Allison's every word. "I might be able to go to the party," Allison laughed. "Yes," Amber said enthusiastically. "You finally asked. Good for you," Amber smiled.

"What about your clothes?" Amber asked. "What about my  clothes?" Allison asked folding her arms. "Nothing. I just thought you would spice it up a little. Look good for the party," Amber said.

"Perhaps, I might do a makeover," Allison said. Amber held her mouth in awe. "Who are you and what have you done with Allison?" Amber stated.

"Nothing, would you stop," Allison giggled as Amber checked her temperature. "I think it's more going on," Amber said. "Are you hiding something else from me?" Amber asked curiously.

"Nothing, let's go to class," Alisson said smiling. It was turning out to be an eventful day.

"Let's go to the mall on Saturday to do some shopping," Amber suggested. "That's fine," Allison said. "Are you sure you didn't hit your head?" Amber asked one more time. "I'm okay and quite sane," Allison laughed. They both went to class together. Allison had thought about brightening up her wardrobe for some time now.

"I have band practice," Amber informed Allison after school. "That's fine, I have a project to complete so I am going to the library before I head home," Allison reminded her. Both girls went their separate ways.

"Hello, Allison," Benjamin said as she headed to the library. What was it with this boy? He was everywhere these days. "Do you remember that you promised that we would spend time together?" Benjamin smiled. "No, not really. I just remembered being stalked last night and forced to come out of my bed.," Allison stated. Benjamin laughed. "I am heading to the library for thirty minutes. "Great," we can talk afterward he suggested.

Allison realized how persistent Benjamin Grey could be. As they walked side by side Allison briefly looked at Mariah and her friends standing together. Mariah appeared bothered and upset. When they sat down Allison simply had to know. "Did you and Mariah ever go out?" she asked. "No. Never," Benjamin said confused by her question.

"Why?" Benjamin asked. "I see her throwing daggers at me with her stare. I am making sure that I am not with her boyfriend," Allison said taking out her books. "She asked me out and I said I was not interested," he continued. "You don't turn down Mariah. She is the most popular girl in the school. Also, she is one of the hottest and prettiest girls too. Are you sure you never led her on?" Allison asked.

"Well, I was never interested in Mariah. I am talking to the girl I was always interested in. And I beg to differ. I am sitting with the prettiest girl in the school. Authentic beauty comes from within. I see it all over you. You are beautiful on the inside and out. I never led Mariah on. I usually avoid her and her crew," he pointed out. Allison avoided his eyes and could feel her cheeks turn red. He spoke so articulate and fluently as he said the words about her. She could not help but blush. She tried to hide it by holding up her book.

"Okay," Allison said ignoring his eyes. She was at a loss for words. Benjamin had her dumbfounded by his words. He smiled and pulled out a book to read as she did her assignment. He did not intend to say so much but he only confessed his heart. Allison got up and said, "I am done." Benjamin's eyes lit up because he had everything prepared. Allison was about to go out on a date without realizing it.
