Chapter 3
Recap: Sahana looked up and was frozen as her warm brown eyes met a pair of shocking blue green, angry ones peering at her from under a thick head of dark hair.
Sahana sucked in her breath as her complexion paled, there seemed to be a lapse in time, as she stood frozen with the tray still in her hand.
"Are you fucking crazy?! Do you not have eyes or feet that work properly? Who the hell hired you?" yelled the gorgeous guy as his olive tone pallor started to turn red from anger.
"I – I'm so s-sorry sir, it was an accident," Sahana stuttered, her eyes wide. She couldn't believe this was happening on her first day here. This was not the way she expected it go. Granted, she didn't expect it to go totally smoothly, but this?! This was slowly turning into a nightmare. Considering he was a member of this club it was obvious he was someone with great wealth.
"You have eyes don't you? Watch where you're going," he continued to scream at her. Sahana just wanted to be swallowed up by the ground, she had been humiliated many times before because of Falak but this was in front of people she didn't know! So much for getting a fresh start Sahana thought as she mentally started to sink.
"I really am sorry, sir! Your foot came out nowhere, I didn't mean to trip, it's been really hectic around here." Sahana mumbled, her eyes trained to the ground.
"Are you trying to imply this was my fault? Look if you can't do one job, just go back to the kitchen where you belong!" Sahana looked at the guy stunned, her eyes started to fill with tears, no one had ever spoken to her in that way. Yelling at her was one this but that sexist remark was just on a whole different level. She was about to retort when she was interrupted.
"Oh shut up Theo, there was no need to say that. It's not like you don't have a million other shorts you could wear," said a lazy voice from behind a newspaper, "now stop harassing the poor girl, she's apologized already". A blonde guy emerged from behind the paper, he folded it up and laid it beside his lounge chair and got up.
He walked over to Sahana, picking up the spilled glasses on the way and handed them to her.
"Sorry about this buffoon, just disregard everything he's said to you. Sometimes he just doesn't know how to talk to perfectly nice people."
"It- it's fine, honestly I am so sorry about all of this, I never intended this to happen," Sahana continued to stammered.
"You're my body guard, Ronald, you can't speak to me like that!" Theo spit.
"Shut up Theo, I'm also your best friend, quit whining now, let's go change, your mother expects us back soon anyway," Ronald replied rolling his eyes towards Sahana. Sahana was still frozen on the other hand, not sure how to react. She finally let out the breath she didn't know she was holding when the two guys walked past her towards the exit.
Sahana didn't know if Theo was going to tell her manager and still get her fired but she thought it would be best to go confront him now. Taking a deep breath, she tied back her hair, gathered the glasses on the tray and made her way towards exit. She knocked on her manager's door.
