"And your new NCAA champions LSU.."

This can't be real. Did we just win? I can't believe we just won, wait yes I can we dominated every aspect of the game. Hitting above 80 percent shots, rebounds and consistent teamwork. We worked all season just for this very moment.

I can't help but look around at my teammates with similar reactions. The sound from the fans, coaching staff and our families was deafening. What did the haters say .. oh wait I can't hear them now. First time NCAA championship winners put all of the hate to rest. Speaking of haters where is Caitlyn Clark?

I turned around and spotted her instantly, walking up immediately throwing up the "you can't see me" hand motion she tried to pull on us in the beginning of the game. Can't see who? Oh okay.

Running to hug my teammates after the big win was long overdue.

"We did it!" I said jumping into my teammates arms while being surrounded by our fans, friends and family. Everybody being thrilled and excited for us felt like a dream come true. Alexis looked just as overjoyed as I did. Lord I'm so thankful to be able to be in this position with my girls and to know we've been constant and staying true to the game. It's all so crazy.

I've been scanning my surroundings looking for one person I know for a fact is feeling the same way I do in this very moment.

"Flau'jae!" I screamed after spotting her next to the front of the stands. I ran to her immediately embracing her out of pure excitement. In that moment it was just us and no screaming fans or outside noise.

Grabbing her face and holding our faces together touching foreheads. "I told you we would win, I told this is our time." I explained feeling grateful of our position.

"We've worked all year for this moment our time is now 4, We did it!" I told her while looking into her eyes. I can see the emotions on her face and can tell she understood everything I was saying to her.

"You that one! You that one!" Flau'jae told me while holding me in her arms. There is nowhere else I would rather be than right here in this arena sharing this moment with her. She is really my ride or die.

With her being freshman of the year and me being national player of the year. To know that we have come so far this year as hard working women it all feels so surreal.

"Angel how does it feel to be a championship winner?" The NCAA reporter asked with the camera crew coming forth.

"It feels great to know that all of our hard work payed off. We came into the game with an amazing game plan, we had faith in each other. Iowa played very well but we had the game on lock from every corner. I'm thankful for my teammates and coaching staff without them there would be no LSU 1st time national championship winner." I expressed with gratitude.

"Speaking on Caitlin Clark. How long were you sitting on the "you can see me" gesture?" The reporter said pointing the microphone towards me.

"Oh I was waiting when I tell you I was waiting.. I was waiting. Caitlin Clark is a hell of a player but I don't take disrespect lightly. She disrespected Alexis and South Carolina they still my SEC girls too. Y'all not gone disrespect them either so, I wanted to pick her pocket but I had a moment at the end of the game. I was in my bag I was in my moment." I said in defense of my girls.

Once the interview was over we went to the Championship conference meeting. Coach Mulkey and the coaching staff invited the whole team to dinner so that we can celebrate our big win. I pulled up to the valet parking at the five star restaurant. Stepping out of my car with the help from valet service guy my phone started ringing.

Incoming call from "4🖤🐐"

"Barbie you here yet?" Flau'jae asked excitedly.

"Yes I'm walking in now. Where do I go once I'm inside?" I said looking around the nice restaurant.
