Chapter 8

The sun was not playing today the temperature outside was on was giving we should get in the pool vibes. It was so hot we didn't have the energy to really go outside. Thank god it was a chill day for us meaning we both had some free time. The ac inside room was cranked up high and it still felt warm inside. That's the Louisiana heat for you. I had on a tank top and some booty shorts because I was not feeling this heat at all. Flau'jae had on a sports bra and some nike shorts she was up playing on her ps5 while I was stretched out on her bed strolling through TikTok.

"Come on boy you gotta do better than that." She yelled through her headset while smashing the buttons on her controller. "YEAH LETS GOOO SEE I TOLD YOU." She screamed standing up beating her chest. It's never been that serious. Shaking my head strolling through TikTok feed.

"Unt un boy you can't guard me! Sit down with all that , bae tell these niggas they can't guard." She called out to me while standing in front of the tv screen.

"Yup they can't guard you bae you the best." I muttered not even bothering to look at the game. It's not like she can hear me with those big ass headphones on. I took a peak at her and couldn't help but chuckle cause why is she so close up on the tv like that. I started recording her as she played the game.

"How is that a foul! Come on now ref I gotta get the same calls this is ridiculous." She waved the controller around while staring at the game in disbelief like she wanted to fight. I stopped recording and posted it on my page so people can see what I have to deal with on a daily basis.

Even though today is technically a free day for us we have to head down to the gymnasium to meet with some of our teammates and welcome the new transfer to the team. They gave us the news that we got the number one transfer in the portal Aneesah Morrow and I was excited to meet her. I don't personally know her but I've seen videos of her game highlights and she's a beast on the court. That's what we need now that Alexis and Ladazhia both got drafted to the WNBA. It was only right we got suitable replacements for their positions.

"Cheating ass game." I looked over to see Flau'jae unplugging the game and the tv out the wall.

"Bae I thought they couldn't guard you?" I laughed watching her climb into the bed next to me.

"They can't.. I think the game is broken." She huffed smothering her face with the pillow. I found that hard to believe since she just brought the game. Shaking my head , I got up to put on some clothes to get ready for the meet up. I'm not going to dress up or anything it's to hot for all that. Instead I went with something chill like a oversized graphic t-shirt and some Gucci shorts with my Gucci slippers.

"Get up you have 30 minutes to get dressed we have to meet up with the team." I told my girlfriend who was still laying down sulking.

"I don't want to go I'm tired." She mumbled.

"Okay we'll stay here I guess I'll just meet the new transfer by myself and tell you how it went." I said while grabbing my keys and purse.

"Wait did you say new transfer?" She said popping her head up.

"Yes her name is Aneesah Morrow she's the new gua-." Before I could even finish she shot up quickly and started getting ready.

"Okay.." I said watching her throw on some clothes including her "4" chain and even threw on some of her expensive cologne making me raise a eyebrow and cross my arms because what she gotta do all that for? I thought sitting my keys back down. Yeah we not leaving no time soon.

"Okay let's go baby , we don't want to waste time." She said standing in front of me putting on her all black gucci glasses.

I laughed feeling the crazy Angel come out. I took a deep breath before responding. "I'm curious as to why you got all that on and then you putting on the good cologne like who you tryna impress? You better say it's for me." I added while rolling my neck because one it's hot ass hell outside and two she got up to damn quick for my liking.
