Doppelganger

The rest of the breakfast went surprisingly well with Logan. The man was extremely forgiving, which was astonishing, since Tomie wasn't particularly apologetic.

It was a shame she didn't like him, he really was nice

You were currently heading home with her, arms linked together the same way you usually did for the past few days.

Tomie was humming softly

"Ah-ha! So you do like music of some sort!"

Her cold gray eyes met yours

"Yes, I just don't like him. He's loud and he interrupts our outings."

"So... what kind of music do you like, then?"

Tomie seemed to ponder on the question for a while

"I like anything that can calm my nerves. Mostly soft classical music."

"That's nice, wh-"

Tomie suddenly pressed her hands against your mouth and pulled you in an alley.

Then something unbelievable happened; you heard Tomie's voice from somewhere ahead, despite her being right behind you.

"I saw you, you know?"

Tomie sighed and let go of you. You both got out of your hiding spot.

In front of you was a woman who had almost the exact same face as Tomie, although she looked a little younger. She was surrounded by four angry looking men

"Do you have no shame? Trying to impersonate me when you look like that? You're not the first to try, but you're certainly the oldest." She spoke with malice

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Tomie argued

The mysterious woman scoffed

"Please, you know what you are... seeing as you're defective, i don't really see you as a threat, but i should still get rid of you just in case. There can only be one."

"Look, i don't know who you are, but we don't want any trouble. Please leave us alone, we won't disturb you any longer." You tried to reason

"You're quick to defend the defective. Did she manage to charm a woman? Interesting.."

"I did not charm her, we really do get along!" Tomie yelled

The lookalike started laughing hysterically
"This is hilarious! You've fooled yourself into thinking this is real?!"

The woman circled the both of you, the same way a predator would with it's prey before pouncing. The men followed her

You stood between them and Tomie as best you could

"You're delusional. She's going to leave you like the rest, and it's going to get bloody."

You had enough of this, but you knew you didn't stand a chance against so many people.

So you screamed
"Someone, help!!"

The woman laughed and leaned in close to your face.
She really did look like a slightly younger version of Tomie

"Don't worry... I'll leave you two alone for now. You'll take care of the defective eventually, no doubt.. Ta-ta!!"

She backed off, turned around and started to walk away. With a snap of her fingers, the men followed her.
