Miya got up from his bed, swinging his feet off the bed. Double guessing if he should actually go to Cherry and Joe's place.
What if he was intruding? What if Cherry was just being nice by inviting him? What if.. What if-
Miya's thoughts were cut off by the sudden ping on his phone.
Picking his phone up, Miya looked at the message that had popped up on the lock screen. It was his mother who had sent him a message. It was a message of her telling him to stay home and not cause a mess for them to clean up.
Ah, what had he expected he had just gotten into a fight with his parents of course they would leave without making up. Well, it had helped make Miya make up his mind.
With a sigh, Miya got off his old twin-sized bed filled with clutter and dashed towards the bathroom hoping to look at least a little presentable.
Looking at the mirror, Miya could see bruises starting to swell up on his face. Not wanting to worry the adults, God forbid they were already way too stressed especially Cherry. So he ran towards his mother's dressing table and opening the drawer in a rush and grabbed out her water-proof concealer to cover up the bruises. Now Miya was no expert at makeup but he had perfected the art of covering up his bruises.
After concealing the bruises, Miya went to his room and grabbed his phone, keys and skateboard and skated to the adults' house, trying to not overthink anything.

Reaching Cherry's house, Miya stood at the doorstep hesitating to knock at the door. Just as Miya was about to go back, the door slammed open with Joe standing with a big grin on his face, happiness clearly visible on his face.
"Miya, you actually came!" Joe said happily,
"Yeah.." Miya started but realized quickly that he was acting out of character, so grabbing his composure Miya began his sentence again, "Well? Aren't you going to move out of the way?"
