Rhea observed her family with a smile.
Since the end of the Ragnarok many things had changed especially when it came to her eldest son.
Hades had grown close to his soulmate and sons but also to the first emperor of China.
It had surprised everyone that five years since the revelation of Nikolas and Beelzebub being Hades and Hephaestus' kids, Hades revealed that he had started officially courting Hephaestus and also Qin.
Dionysius almost killed his uncle for that but Hephaestus stopped him because he also liked both Hades and Qin and the three had entered the courting while knowing it could be hard to be in a polyamorous relationship.
Rhea had to admit that watching the courtship between the three of them had been both adorable and entertaining especially because the twins were the most excited by the possibility of their parents finally marrying and they adored Qin like another father.
Talking about grandkids…..
Right now she was watching little Shenhe play with her cousin Hikari.
Shenhe had been a surprise to everyone, including her parents.
Neither Hades, Qin or Hephaestus planned to have any more kids but one day Hephaestus woke up and felt a new life inside him.
Of course the three were happy once the surprise had passed and when Shenhe was born, the three showered her in love like they had done with all their other kids.
Shenhe was the perfect mixture of the three, she looked like Qin with Hephaestus eyes and acted as mixture of both Qin and Hades.
There was no one in Valhalla that didn't adore her, she was spoiled by her whole family but thankfully Hephaestus made sure that she didn't end up being a spoiled brat since he set rules and limits to both Shenhe and everyone that spoiled her.
She was the closest to her cousin Hikari, Sasaki and Poseidon's kid, and it wasn't surprising to see the two together or if one was missing then the other would be too.
Rhea was sure that once the two demigoddesses were older they would bring more chaos to Valhalla than Nostradamus and Loki together.
"Mother" Rhea heard someone calling and when she turned to where the voice came, she saw Hades and his two husbands make their way towards her
"My son and son-in-laws" Rhea says smiling at the trio "How are Nikolas and Beelzebub?" she asks curious since the twins were 7 months pregnant and were staying all the time with their spouses
"They are good despite the pain and discomfort they feel some time" Qin answers and Rhea hums at that since she knew very well how a pregnancy could be since she went through it at least seven times and she didn't even have twins like some of her kids did which was probably worse
"It's quite funny that they ended getting pregnant at the same time" Rhea hums and smiles amused when she sees Hades make am unhappy face
"It isn't" Hades grumbles while his husbands roll their eyes because everyone knew that the king of Helheim was a very protective father and never thought anyone was good for his kids
"Stop being like that" Hephaestus sighs as Qin hits Hades in the head "Nikolas is happy with Shiva, Parvati, Kali and Durga just like Beelzebub is happy with Kintoki so let them be" he adds and Hades pouts
"But what if they hurt them?" Hades says and Rhea has to stop herself from laughing because of how her eldest son is acting
"Then we will deal with them but as they don't plan to do it, just accept it and let out kids be happy" Qin is the one to answer "And you don't want our grandkids to think you hate them because you dislike that their fathers are married to your babies, right?" he adds knowing that would make Hades give up
"....Okay" Hades mumbles while still pouting which made Qin and Hephaestus smile softly before kissing him in the cheeks
'So cute' Rhea thinks "Did you guys come to pick Shenhe up?" she asks as she remembers that she was just babysitting her two granddaughters since their parents were visiting their pregnant siblings(Rhea still laughs as she remembers Athena, Ares and Aphrodite's face when they found out the relationship between Triton, Phobos and Eric especially when Eric demanded that if the other two wanted kids then they would give birth to them themselves otherwise they would never be allowed to touch Eric again)
"Yes, we promised Shenhe to have dinner with Mama Eve, Papa Adam and Chun Yan" Qin answers and Rhea hums at that
"Next time you guys should have dinner with me and all my kids" the older goddess says
"Mother" Hades says and I raise an eyebrow "Do you want to have dinner or watch drama happen?" he asks and Rhea just smiles innocently which made her sons-in-law laugh while Hades sighed
If there was something that people rarely knew was that Rhea llved drama and chaos, which Poseidon took from her even if he is better at hiding it.
"I will go pick Shenhe and say goodbye to Hikari" Hephaestus says before going to where the kids were
Soon Rhea was watching the couple and their kid leave as Hikari came to sit beside her.
Rhea was thankful that Zeus had given that punishment to Hephaestus and Persephone made Hades go to the human world that time. She had never seen her family so happy and without those two things happening she probably wouldn't have been able to see this.
"Grandma, play with me?" Hikari asks taking Rhea from her thoughts
"Of course, my little sea star" Rhea says smiling at Hikari
