Rimuru's revenge

Chapter 20_Going out with a bang_

[Curent Location: 90th floor]

3rd POV:

Two beings stare each other down as the tension in the room raises higher than the mountain of bodies behind them.

Behind Rimuru the 16-meter steel door reappears on the ground as the labyrinth's regeneration ability shows itself.

The doors slowly raise as an ear-piercing screech breaks the silence. The screech stops as the door gets closer and closer to its previous position.

The silence once again envelops the room as neither Zegion nor Rimuru moves a muscle.

And suddenly

*slam!!!!*

The door slams itself back into place shattering the silence as if signaling the battle to start.

Zegion and Rimuru rush towards each order, each with their own plan set in motion.

Zegion lifts his arm using his higher-figure attack from above.

*Smash!!*

His fist slams into Rimuru but is blocked by his unsheathed katana.

Rimuru redirects Zegion's fist to his left as he spins his body preparing for a side slash on Zegion's right opening.

But as Zegion prepares to lower his Right hand to block Rimuru's Katana, Rimuru changes his grip letting go of the katana now holding it with only one hand.

Now with one of his hands free, Rimuru wastes no time and punches Zegion's less-armored abdomen.

Zegion is sent flying only stopping after hitting the mountain of bodies that seems to be pretty sturdy.

With Zegion leaning forward still confused about what happened Rimuru dashes forward. Rimuru then sidesteps in front of Zegion, transferring all of his movement speed into an upper slash aiming for Zegion's head.

Zegion instinctively moves his head upward rejecting Rimuru's offer of a free haircut.

Seeing his attack didn't land Rimuru leaps away getting some distance between them.

Zegion wastes no time and extends both of his arms now covered in a rainbow glow.

"{Dimensional ray}!!!"

Rimuru braces himself as six different beams of light shot out of Zegions arm.

It is a special tehnik Zegion made as a simple trap for his opponents. It uses illusion magic to create six fake light attacks while the real attack stays invisible.

Rimuru seeing through the attack dodges the real beam and ignores the illusion.

Seeing his attack fail Zegion quickly follows up with another barrage of light attacks.

Rimuru skilfully dodges and blocks the first seven but is hit by the eighth one and sent flying back.

On the ground, Rimuru opens his eyes only to see Zegion above him throwing another punch.

Rimuru rolls out of the way just in time and dodges the punch. Zegion punches the ground lifting a dust cloud that covers the battlefield.

Rimuru ready's his katana and waits for the dust to clear. But once the dust settled there is no Zegion in sight only an empathy crater.

Rimuru quickly looks around but there is no sight of his opponent.

"I never expected you to be the kind of person to chicken out of a fight." Said Rimuru while smiling.
