John's Pov
After getting back from the mission I watch as the family reunites with each other, I look away from the scene and to the other new face. She looks scared and uncomfortable watching the family hug. As the family breaks away from each other when Caitlyn goes up to the girl "Come on honey we have to stay inside"she nods and heads inside but not before looking back at the woods with a look of longing.
Skip till Polaris and Marco gets back
Its been a few hours since we got back to HQ and I see Marco and Lorna walk though the door "Everything okay" I say as the duo walk towards me "yeah we just wanted to be alone" Marco says wrapping his arm around Lorna "Hey where is Flower" she says moving her head around "Who" I say confused "The girl that came with us from the convoy" panic filing her voice and that's when I realized I haven't seen her, she huffs and heads outside, the sun starting to set as they begin looking for the girl. I touch the ground trying to track her but its like I feel her everywhere like she's the ground im touching "FLOWER" Lorna yells and I feel the energy switch "FLOWER ITS ME POLARIS COME OUT PLEASE" she yells out one more time and that's when the energy changes again and we see the girl from the convoy break through the tree line of the woods. "Oh there you are what are you doing out there" Lorna ask like a worried mother "I... Don't know... People" I faintly hear the girl really shakily almost unsure on how to speak "Okay well I'm here now lets get you a room" Lorna says coaching her to come inside, but the girl just shakes her head looking at me for a brief second and the air in my lungs are gone her eyes are a glowing emerald green her tattoos on her body displayed more by the big rips of her clothes "Come on I'll introduce you and tell them about you if that's okay" the girl nods and the head inside me following behind them.
As Lorna is telling HQ about her friend Flower I feel such a strong sense of anger and guilt that I don't know where it came from. Flower speaks softly to Lorna and they begin to go up stairs and that's when I rush to ask to talk to her and she agrees and I can see she's tired so I try and make my questions short "How did you get into the detention center" I ask and I as I finish I remember Lorna saying she docent know how to speak "Cartel... Machine... Police take... Me" she frustratedly explains "hey" I say grabbing her wrist which wasn't a good idea, when a vine comes out of no where and wraps around my arm up to my neck "Flower stop he won't hurt you" Lorna says as the girl looks at me a tear coming down her cheek as we lock eyes hers glowing more as the vine goes back into her skin "well that's answers that question" I try to joke as I rub my neck where her vin was "Don't.. touch" she says harshly and I nod "tomorrow can I see what you full powers are" I ask and she look skeptical before lightly nodding "Okay get some sleep" I say and exit the room we where and head to my room and when I close my door I felt like I could finally breath again.
Flowers Pov
Ive been up since the sunrise soaking in the sun on top of the roof. In the prison our yard time was limited and for me being basically a plant I was always so weak so being able to just bask in the sun was something I didn't want to waste. "You shouldn't be out here" I turn and see Polaris's boyfriend "Need.. sun" I say as he comes near me "okay well when ever you need it let me know" he says I look at him confused he smirks and and he shoots a light out of his hand my eyes go wide "whoa" I say he laughs and makes the light go out "Yeah I used to think of it as a curse that's what my father called me, so I became the monster he called me and I joined the cartel" he says looking out into the woods my head snaps to him "it was fine at first but something in me changed and I left, thats when I met John and Polaris" he continues "cartel.. bad... hurt me bad" I say tears cloud my vision but none spilled "I'm sorry" he says looking at me with sympathy "I fine strong" I say pointing at myself a smile on my face and he smiles back.
We left the roof and go to eat breakfast and I sit with him and John "Where Polaris" I say eating eggs "She's sleeping had a rough night being home" Marcos says I nod when John says "Are you still okay with showing me your powers" I nod and finish my plate and began downing water. "Let's go" he says and I follow him out to the woods "What is your power" he says and I think "Earth" I bluntly say he nods and then stands back. I take that as my moment and I think of the move to do when it comes to me. I feel the ground shake as I left a a huge rock throwing it through the woods, after that I touch the ground feeling all the living plants in the ground and put my energy into making them grow. I look to John and see him looking at me with a look I can not understand and it angers me and I shoot a vine at him the thrones almost piercing his skin. He looks at me and something inside me caves and I bring back the vines tears slowly coming down my face "Hey" he says come towards me he starts getting to close and a vine starts to come out "Im not going to hurt you" he whispers his hand grabbing my arm and pulling me too him, my head into his neck "Sorry" I cry lightly and he holds me. My heart jumps and I don't understand why.
