Chapter 5 'Arcade' (Rewritten)

Eleven/Jane's POV: "Max!" I yell from across the street. "Oh hi" she says walking towards me. "Why weren't you at school today?" I question her. "Oh I got suspended" She replied looking at the ground. "Oh what did you do?" "I got in a fight" "Why?" "Because I was defending myself" "Oh, we're you defending yourself against Charlotte" I asked "Uh, yeah how did you know that?" She asked with pure confusion on her face. "She told me to watch out for you and you a freak and a dyke" She rolled her eyes. "Don't listen to that bully" "Don't worry I won't, anyways wanna hang out?" "Uh, sure"

We head to my house. We walk in and I see will "Hey will!" I say "Hey El-Jane" he corrects himself. "Hey max" "Hey will" she says back. "Anyway me and max are gonna go to my room!" I say grabbing her wrist. "Ok" he says and I drag her to my room.

Max's POV: "Also max what happened to your face?" Jane asks "Uh, it's from the fight" I lie Well it is from some fight just not that one. "So what do you wanna do?" I ask, changing the subject. "We could color?" "Sure" she grabs art supplies and gives me a piece of paper. And about an hour later we both finish. "Can I see yours?" I ask. How I imagine it:

"Woah that's beautiful! I didn't know you were an artist." I say "Yes I am can I see yours?" "Um it's not good but sure" How I imagine it: 

"Um it's b-beautiful" Jane says. "Mhm sure" "I'm serious!" She starts to giggle. "If your so serious the why are you giggling?" I say starting to giggle myself.

Timeskip: 1 week later

Eleven/Jane's POV: It's been over a week since me and will moved to Hawkins. He started to get close with mike while I got close with max. Today we are going to something called an arcade all of us, "the party" as they call it. "Will, El we gotta leave!" Mom yells from downstairs. "Coming!" I yell. I run downstairs and see mom and will are already in the car so I run out. We get to the arcade "Bye kids have fun, I love you!" Mom says "Love you too" me and will say and then she drives off. We enter the arcade to see max and Dustin arguing in front of a game called "dig dug".

I go to max and will goes to mike. "Hi max" I say. "Hello Jane!" She says back. "I'm gonna go hang out with Jane, good luck beating my score Dustin." We walk to another game and she teaches me how to play. "So have you ever been to an arcade before?" She asks me "No never this is my first time" I say trying to focus on the game. "Wow I've never met someone who has never been to an arcade before." I don't know what to say to that so I just keep playing.

Mike's POV (will and el just arrived): I see Jane and will walk through the door. Jane goes over to max and will walks over to me. "Hi will!" I say "Hello Mike!" He says matching my energy. I walk over to a game and Will follows. "Have you ever played this game before?" Will shakes his head. "Ok let me teach you" I teach him and after awhile we get bored so go to dig dug. "Have you ever played dig dug?" I ask and he shakes his head again. "Dang have you even been to an arcade before?" I ask jokingly and he shakes his head. "Oh I didn't know you've never been to an arcade I was just joking" I say nervously. "It's ok" will says. "Ok let me just teach you how to play"

I say then I teach him. His is really good! Better than Dustin as he beat his score, but 'MadMax' is still first. "Is Mad Max, Max?" He asks. "Yeah she is" "Oh ok" "Hey Will do you wanna have a sleepover tonight?" "Um sure" Will says a little awkwardly. "Ok! You should call your parents and I'll call mine" Me and Will split up and call our parents. After I call mine I find him again. "My mom said if I'm sleeping over E-Jane has to come" "Ok I'll just invite the whole party!" Mike says excitingly. "Ok!"
