I truly never thought this day would come. After everything I went through last summer, only for him to get away with a slap on the wrist, it killed me. At first I was naive to think that he was through with me, but then the messages started to come and that's when I became worried. I knew he wouldn't let up. He was never one to give up easily, and this time he fucked up. His impulses and psychotic behavior got him caught. And now he was hopefully going to get everything he fucking deserved.

I couldn't keep the smile off of my face. Lydia was the first person I called after me and Tanner had our own little celebration on the side of the road. I was buzzing with excitement.

Lydia answered after the second ring. "Why hello, my—"

I couldn't even wait for her to finish her sentence. "They arrested Gavin."

There was a moment of silence before she squealed so loud that I had to pull my phone away from my ear.

"Jesus Christ, you almost cost me my hearing!" I grumbled through the phone once the coast was clear.

Tanner laughed beside me as he pulled into his parent's neighborhood.

Lydia told me how happy she was for me, and how proud of me she was. She of course couldn't leave out the part where she mentioned that she was glad he gets to rot in jail and that she hopes some big dude named Boris makes him his bitch— I totally couldn't help laughing at that one.

"Listen Lyd, I gotta go. We just got to Tanner's parents' house, but I'll see you in a few days. We'll have a girl's night one of the nights."

She agreed cheerfully before we said our goodbyes and hung up.

When I looked over at Tanner, he was staring at me with a sweet smile on his face.

"What?" I blushed.

"Nothing. You're just amazing."

My cheeks grew even hotter. He never failed to make me feel beautiful and special.

"Alright, let's get this show on the road." He killed the engine and climbed out of the car as he made his way over to my side and opened the door for me.

"M'lady." He grinned.

"My gentleman." I swooned as I climbed out of the car.

All of a sudden there was a squeal of excitement before Jillian came barreling into me, wrapping me up in a hug.

"Charlie!" She squealed.

"Hey Jill, how've you been?"

Her smile grew even wider. "Amazing!" She started rambling on about all the exciting things in her life.

"AND, I even lost a tooth, just the other day!" She showed me the spot where the tooth was missing. "The tooth fairy gave me fiv—"

"Ah-hem" Tanner cleared his throat.

Jillian turned around, assessing him for a moment. "Oh hi, Tanner." She said unfazed by him standing there.

His jaw practically dropped to the driveway as he stood there in shock. I looked at him with my best I'm sorry look, before getting down to my knees to be at level with Jillian and whispering in her ear.

All of a sudden she turned around and ran into Tanner, hugging him.

I grinned as Tanner lit up immediately, dropping down to pick her up and hug her tight.

I loved seeing Tanner with his sisters. He was amazing with them and I knew that one day he was going to be an amazing father.

"I guess the party is out here." Trish greeted us, walking over to me and giving me a hug and kiss on the cheek before turning to Tanner and Jillian.
