LAURA
Throwing that dagger was the most difficult thing to do in my entire life as a mother and as a police officer.

KAI
I feel like a failure for not being there for my best friend all this while. For going MIA on her. I shouldn't have pulled myself away even though I was trying to protect my heart.

NAMJOON

We lost a member of the pack and it would leave a very big scar we would never recover from.

"It's been two weeks now and Jungkook hasn't said a word" Hoseok says, Standing with a cup of coffee in his hands.

"I don't expect him to be talking to anyone, his mate died and non of us knows how that feels"  Kate replies from the couch they're sat on.

"He needs time" Olivia adds.

"Time"  Namjoon echoes. "Loosing a mate Is like a soccer player loosing his legs, it's like a writer loosing his sight, it's like loosing your soul and you're left empty" Namjoon pauses for a moment, thinking. "It's a mental pain. A soul crushing pain."  Namjoon's tone becomes somber when he finishes.  "Time isn't going to solve anything"  Taehyung sighs and takes a drink of his coffee as everyone thinks.

Slowly knocking on the door Jin walks in, carrying a tray in his hand and his eyes scanning the room. He spots Jungkook seated on the  corner across the room, watching video clips of Diana on loop, some videos they had made with both his phone and her phone.

"Jungkook?"  Jin calls, softly walking into the room where Jungkook sits on the floor, knees brought up to his chest.  Jin places the tray down next to him, "Can I talk to you?"

He sits on the ground next to Jungkook, he's about to start speaking when Jungkook speaks.
"Is that chocolate?" Jin looks at the glass of chocolate drink and nods frantically because it's been awhile since Jungkook's voice was heard.

He stretches his hand taking a hold of the glass before sending it flying across the room resulting in pieces of glass and the liquid shattered everywhere.

Jin stares wide eyed at the glass shards scattered on the floor, before turning to face Jungkook who's sitting next to him, looking sheepish. "She was allergic to chocolate..." he murmurs.

Jin gets back on his feet and starts gathering up all the broken pieces. "It's okay"  he assures Jungkook.   "I'll just... I'll just pick up these pieces, yeah?"  He smiles.

Jin returns after disposing and cleaning up the mess that was created. "You need to eat something..." Silence "You haven't had anything to eat for two weeks" Silence "We cannot understand how you feel but we'll always be here for you" Silence.

Jin sighs. "Try to have something to eat, I cooked your favorite -"

"It's all my fault"  The words spill out from his mouth before he can stop them."All my fault" They repeat over and over again and it makes tears spring to Jin's eyes because he's so used to seeing Jungkook smile every day, to seeing him laugh, to seeing him happy. He never thought it would end this way, he never thought that Jungkook would ever be this way. "All my fault"

Jungkook doesn't look at Jin but instead keeps staring at the TV  "She didn't deserve any of this-" He breaks off, his voice sounding thick and raspy.  "None of this, she deserved better" he whispers, the last three words falling from his lips almost too quiet for Jin to hear.  But somehow Jin does.

"Jungkook-"

"I can't do this" His words are barely audible, but still loud enough for Jin to make out what he's saying.  "Please leave"  He adds, his voice shaking slightly and Jin can tell he's trying to not cry.

"No, I'm not leaving, I'm your brother and I'm meant to be here for you"  Jin kneels down beside him as Jungkook buries his face into his hands and begins to sob.

"I want her back" He sobs, "I wanted her back so much. We were supposed to be forever."  He turns his head towards Jin, eyes full of unshed tears "I could have done something...I could have saved her"  He continues, his breathing becoming rapid, and his voice getting louder, "I could have-"

"Jungkook, shhhh"  Jin pulls him into a tight hug, feeling Jungkook shaking against him, letting himself get held. He abruptly pulls away running to the toilet and vomiting violently, and crying into the sink, his body racked by his sobs.

Tears roll down Jin's cheeks as he rubs his back, listening to the sound of Jungkook's harsh breathing.

"This is bad" Yoongi murmurs as they all listen to Jungkook and Jin from downstairs with their abilities.
