Woodsborrow was nothing compared to New York, the streets were loud and filled with people. Buildings filled the place, almost no green in sight. Moving here took a lot but we had settled in quite nicely. Tonight was the first Halloween party of the year and even though I never liked parties,I promised Tara I would go with her.The smell of sweat and alcohol filled my nose as I made my way through the dancing students. I joined Anika and Mindy who were sitting on the couch.

"Hey gorgeous." Anika smiled as I sat down next to her.
My head rested against the back of the couch as I greeted her.
"Hello lovelies."
"Are you okay?" Mindy asked.
I shrugged and lifted my head up,looking at her.
"Parties are not my thing."
Anika poked my side.
"Ethan has been looking at you for the past five minutes."
My eyes roamed the room, looking for the curly haired boy. And to my surprise my eyes met his brown ones. He smiled and waved causing a small blush to appear on my cheeks.
"Go talk to him, you've had a crush on him since forever." Mindy said and gently pushed me off the couch.
"I don't know Mindy, I don't want to ruin our friendship." I sighed, my eyes going back to the boy who was now talking with Chad.
"Everyone with eyes can see how in love he is with you Y/n." Anika assured me while placing a comforting arm on my shoulder.

I let out a deep breath, getting all my courage together and stood up from the couch.
I pushed through some students and approached the duo.
"Hey Y/n/n." Chad smiled as he put an arm around my shoulder.
"Hey hot stuff, sunshine." I chuckled. I started calling Ethan sunshine ever since we became friends. He was like the new light in my life after everything that happened back in Woodsborrow. Ethan had a cardboard viking costume on and I could help but giggle at how silly he looked. Looking over my shoulder I saw Tara talking to a strange guy. I tapped Chad on the shoulder to get his attention and pointed at her.
"I'm gonna go help her." He said as his arm fell from my shoulder, leaving me with Ethan.

"Are you okay?" I asked the boy, he hadn't said anything since I had joined them.
"Yeah, parties just aren't my scene." He said with a small chuckle.
"Mine either, want to ditch?" I suggested while holding out my hand.
He intertwined our fingers as a way of saying yes and I navigated us through the house. His other hand fell to my waist, to make sure we wouldn't be seperated.

The fresh air hit my face as we walked out of the party and I couldn't help but take a deep breath, Ethan doing the same. Our hands were still intertwined but neither of us seemed to mind.

"Where are we off to, captain?" He asked while saluting me with his free hand.
I giggled and pulled him with me, taking him to my dorm.
"Okay so, do you want to do something calm or adventurous?" I asked with a wiggle of my eyebrows.
"As much as I love adventure, I'm exhausted."
"Calm it is."

We arrived at my door and I pulled my keys out of my purse, letting go of his hand for the first time that night. I gently opened the door and let us both in.
"Movie night?" I suggested with a smirk.
"I'm in, do you happen to have anything I can change into?" Ethan asked while gesturing to his costume. Staying in the cardboard would be uncomfortable. I walked to my closet and passed him some sweatpants and a shirt I had borrowed from him.
"I've been looking for that shirt for days." He chuckled as he held it up.
"Oops?" I said with a smirk and went to change into something comfortable myself.
I walked back into the living room and saw Ethan look through my movie collection, trying to pick out what to watch.
"I-uhm- I don't know what you like to watch?" He said softly.
"You pick, I don't mind."
He held up a familiar disc. Tangled, one of my favorite movies of all time.
I nodded my head with a smile.
"One of my favorites." We both said at the same time and laughed.
"Jinx." I said and he pouted in defeat.

While Ethan prepared the movie, I got snacks and blankets.
I seated myself next to him,my legs onto his lap.
His hands tracing shapes over my sweatpants.
Halfway through the movie my back started to hurt and I adjusted my position, Ethan noticed and mentioned for me to scoot over.
I gently rested my head onto his chest, my hands wrapping around his waist.
His hands snaking around me, he gently raised my shirt up a little, his hand making contact with my bare skin. I couldn't help but look at him, the light from the tv making his face glow.
"You know the movie is on the screen, not my face." He chuckled while looking down at me.
I hid my face into his shirt, desperately trying to hide the blush on my cheeks.
His chest vibrated, indicating his laugh.
He lifted my chin up with his hand, making me look at him.
I got lost into his eyes while his hand gently stroked my cheek.
"You are so fucking beautiful." Ethan whispered and putt a small piece of hair behind my ear.
I couldn't help myself and straddled his lap, placing my lips on his in a soft kiss.
He kissed back quickly, his hands keeping me steady on his lap as I pulled away.
Ethan didn't seem to like that and quickly kissed me again making me giggle into the kiss.
He soon joined and we pulled away giggling like little children.
The movie was long forgotten as we looked at each other.
"I think I love you." I whispered, my heartbeat speeding up.
A smile spread over his face and his eyes filled with adoration.

"I think I love you too."
