The girls noticed Haerin acting weird whenever Danielle was around but got no proper response when asked what she was doing or what happened or what was wrong whatsoever.. They know though, Haerin was definitely trying to avoid  Danielle and Danielle knew too. And that's probably why, the wavy haired girl and her savage best friend haven't been hanging around the group lately. The basketball duo sits behind them in class but Danielle slept almost all the time and Minji kept annoying Hanni. It goes on for a week and during that week, the girls ran into Choi Woobin thrice around the roundabout and he walked home along with Haerin.

The rejection hurt Danielle but she still tried texting Haerin hoping it would help her remain in Haerin's life. She was a polite girl, she would give you space if you asked for it and she would respect your decision even if it meant getting hurt. But she wasn't ready to completely let go of her first love. It would mean giving up her life! She might respect Haerin's decision but that doesn't mean she stopped loving her. For God's sake she couldn't stop it even when she was dying inside. The third time she saw Haerin walking home with that guy and when he made her laugh she stopped texting her. "I would respect her decision." She reminded herself.

Dani has to play her debut game today against Elite high today. The class has started and she isn't there yet. Minji was listless although her best friend had texted earlier saying that she was on her way just before the class. Minji was the most excited to finally see Danielle playing for the team. And she hoped I was today. She kept messaging Danielle even though she got no reply.

15 minutes into the class,
"I'm sorry, Mr Jung... I'm.. late." Danielle stood at the door hugging her books. She was short of breath and her face flushed and her hair a mess, she looked like she was beaten by a storm along the way.

"Danielle, you alright , kid? Where is your bag? Are you getting bullied ?" Mr Jung asked worriedly.

Danielle smiled and shook her head, "No sir.. I just.. gave it away.. to someone who.. needed it more."

"Who could have needed a school bag more than a student going to school?" Danielle only smiled and answered nothing.

Mr Jung shook his head, "Take your seat."

"Thank you Sir."

There's so many weird things about Danielle today. First of all, she came holding her books without a bag. Second, she hasn't glanced at Haerin even once for the day. On normal days, her eyes always landed on Haerin first whenever she entered a room. And she looks like she has been crying.

"You alright?" Minji whispered but Hanni and Haerin who sits just before her could hear her.

"Yup. You have a spare bag right?" Dani asked back in the same tone.

"It's in my locker. Let's go get it after class." said Minji.
After that the day proceeded normally the expectation only being Danielle not sleeping in class anymore.

At the game, the girls were excited to finally see Danielle play. But they could only see her back. The coach was talking with her while the players of both teams practiced shooting and dribbling before the game.

Minji and Danielle started the 1st quarter.

"Woahhhh! I knew Dani would look so good in their kit but damn! Look at her! She's hot and cool at the same time!" Hyein said.

"Yes. She's thinner than i expected though." Hanni commented.

"She plays very differently from everyone. Do you guys notice the passes she made?" Eunchae asked.

"Yes.. She doesn't hold the ball at all. She made passes within seconds." Hanni analysed and they all agreed.

"She seems very serious. She hasn't smiled even once from the start." Hyein observed. Haerin didn't say anything and only nodded her head agreeing to whatever her friends said. But her eyes were fixed on only Danielle.
