It has been raining for the past few days making the temperature drop again. So the students wore their sweaters to school. Since the rain started, Danielle has been sticking herself to Haerin, she follows the cat eyed girl literally everywhere while they're in school.
Minji distanced herself from them though. She was trying to stay away from Hanni after the passionate kiss they shared at the picnic night, although it wasn't quite successful.
The school bell rang indicating the break time, the students didn't scurry out of the class like they usually did. It seemed the weather brings everyone down.
Minji stood up and stood near the glass window, looking out the rain ever steadily falling down. Hanni, Hyein, Eunchae and Haerin was about to leave the class and Danielle was still sitting on her table looking at Minji's back. The girls looked at her questioningly, they thought she'd follow them like she had been doing for the past few days.
"Dani, are you not coming with us?" Hanni asked, and stole a glance towards Minji.
"You guys go ahead. I'll come shortly after with Minji." Danielle answered Hanni and gave a smile and a nod to Haerin.
"Kim Minji, come fast." Hanni said loudly causing Minji to turn her head to the shorter girl. Hanni has been acting like nothing has happened between them and that troubled Minji.
"Sure." Minji smiled at Hanni but the smile didn't reach her eyes and of course the girls noticed.
"It's alright. Take your time." Hyein said to Minji and went out dragging Hanni along with her, Haerin and Eunchae followed after them.
"What?" Hanni asked Hyein in the hallway.
"I don't know what exactly but i felt like they wanted to have a talk." Hyein answered releasing Hanni's arm.
"Did they fight or something?" Eunchae asked.
"I don't think so. But Minji's been very quiet... it's so... unlike her. And she acts like she's in her puberty at home! She break things in anger and She'll leave the table whenever dad started getting on her nerves. And it never happened before! " Hyein confided to her friends.
"She seems fine whenever we talked over the phone." Hanni muttered.
"But she haven't been around in school like before.. I mean it's always Minji who joined us during lunch, Danielle only came with her sometimes." Eunchae pointed out.
"She seems distant from you too. Did she call and text you like before?" Hyein asked Hanni. Hanni was flustered for a moment,
"She calls and texts much lesser than earlier. But she seems fine whenever we chat." Hanni replied softly.
"Alright. And why is Danielle always following you like a lost puppy for the last few days?" Hyein asked Haerin.
Haerin smiles shyly at her friends, "Well, I asked the same question to her yesterday but she only complained about how i never questioned her presence before, in Busan."
Danielle's cuteness made the girl smile.
The girls were almost done with their lunch when the basketball duo joined them. Soon after they sat down and started eating all of their phones ping with a notification at the same time. The basketball seniors were announcing a match among the classes, 1st year vs 2nd year and the winner vs the 3r year, after class today and we're inviting the students to come watch them play.
Minji and Danielle were eating so they didn't check their phones.
"You guys have a match!?" Hanni asked them.
Danielle shakes her head.
"We don't even have a practice today." Minji replied.
"Really? Check your phone." Hyein told her sister.
Minji was taking her phone out when a classmate who was also in the basketball club came running to them.
"MINJI HAVE YOU SEEN THE MESSAGE!? The seniors are at it again!" She whisper-shouts the last sentence.
