Mike feels ignored by his party and his sister. Angst ensues...

(Based after season 4)

It had been exactly a week since everything had happened. A week since Vecna ripped his home open. A week since Max, someone who he had become very fond of, had gone into a coma. A week since El and Will stopped talking to him. A week since he found out Eddie died. A week since he had started to isolate himself.

Mike stared at his notebook blankly, a pencil in his hand. Writing had been his only form of expression with no one willing to listen to his issues, which was fair. 'I wouldn't listen to my issues either.' Mike thinks, almost bitterly.

They obviously had bigger things to worry about. His mind briefly flicks back to the previous summer, everyone pushing his feelings aside in favor of focusing on the more pressing things, he dismissed the memories, there were always bigger things to worry about.

Since the Upside Down wasn't bleeding into Hawkins at a rapid pace, they couldn't do much other than investigate the gates and call meetings every so often. Whenever Mike was around the party, he noticed how Nancy treated Dustin.

They acted more like siblings than she did with him. Mike was completely normal about it, of course. He didn't care when they bickered playfully, or when she jokingly ruffled his hair. And he definitely wasn't jealous when she hugged him or comforted him when he needed it. 'Damn it, Mike, are you really that selfish?!' Dustin was there when Eddie died, he obviously deserved the comfort.

Eddie . Mike missed Eddie, he was the closest he had to an older sibling. Not only was he the coolest guy ever , but he also filled the gaping hole Nancy had left. He played D&D with him and the others, he listened, gave advice, and he even started to teach him the guitar. Mike glanced over to the guitar sitting in the corner of his room, every time he looked at it, a wave of sorrow washed over him.

In the week he had gone to California, two people were torn away from him. Eddie and Max. They weren't close to others but they were able to bond after El moved, funny enough.

It was even worse that Lucas had to watch her die, clinging to her as life drained from her eyes. He lost her for a second before El swooped in and saved her, bringing her back to life. Even then, she was still in a coma, her body broken, and her mind elsewhere.

Lucas and Dustin needed comfort, but Mike did not.

He was pulled from his thoughts by static. He pushed himself up from his desk, dropping the wooden pencil. He picked up his walkie waiting for anyone to say something.

"Mike?" It was Will.

Mike held the walkie closer, wondering what made Will speak to him again. Whenever he tried to hang out or catch up Will always had an excuse ready. "Hey, what's up? Over." He responded, hopes rising. Maybe Will wanted to spend time with him?

"Can you come to Hopper's cabin? Over."

Mike's hope sunk, oh . It was only a meeting. He tried to think of why Nancy hadn't told him about it, they did live in the same house after all. "Oh, okay. Sure, bye, Will." He said, hoping he didn't sound too dejected on the other end. He pulled on a white t-shirt shirt and some black jeans with rips in the knees, pants he had gotten because of Eddie.

The ride to Hopper's cabin was short, the breeze whistled through his curly locks. This is the best weather Hawkins had gotten all week, there were fewer Upside Down spores than usual floating through the air and the sky looked a little clearer than it had a few days ago.

When he finally arrived outside of the old cabin he could tell everyone else had already arrived by cars and bikes that were already parked. He sighed, bracing himself for the scolding he would receive for holding them up.
