The Beginning

Y/N POV

As soon as I saw the news about the main striker being injured, I felt sorry for him and the team but this somehow has lit my passion to work harder so that I may have a chance in replacing him. Playing professionally has always been my dream and one day I'd like to play in the top leagues, facing top opponents.

"Y/N, I received a call from the club just now. You'd like to listen to this" My father spoke out from our living room. My father has been my temporary agent for now as I still haven't got one.

"Coming"

"What is it dad?" I asked him.

"You saw the news right?" He asked me as I reply with a nod.

"It looks like it's time for you to shine my boy!" He said as he hugged me.

"Wait really? Is this true?" I questioned him, couldn't contain the happiness.

"Yes! They called you up to fill in his place while the main striker is recovering" He exclaimed.

"They told me to bring you to the club headquarters tomorrow for the promotion" My father continued.

"Oh my god. I can't believe it. It's really happening" I spoke in disbelief.

"It is happening now! Go go sleep. You have a big day tomorrow!" My father pushed me to my room.

As soon as I got in my room, I texted my academy teammates about the news which they responded in a positively supporting way. I couldn't wait any longer as I felt too excited for the next day and went straight to sleep.

Here I am, standing in front of the manager's office with my dad beside me. I took a deep breath before knocking the door and entering the room.

The manager welcomed us and told us to sit at the chair in front of his desk. He admired my football ability during my academy matches and said that he trusts me to play well for the team. I actually blushed a little when he said that.

Then he showed us the paper that he was holding which happen to be the contract for me to sign to officially be registered as a player for FC Seoul.

Me and my dad went through the contract making sure that the conditions work well for us. The salary offered was also decent knowing that I'm still new in this situation. After going through the contract with my so-called agent father, we were satisfied with it and signed it.

Right after I signed it, one of the photographer took a picture of me and the manager holding the contract. Then I was sent to the dressing room to change into the team's jersey to take some pictures to show to the fans and social media. I was given the number 31 for my jersey.

After we finished the photoshoot session, we were dismissed for the day and I was told to attend training tomorrow with my new teammates. The club also posted my announcement in social media saying that they have signed a new replacement for the main striker. There were mixed reactions from the fans, most of them were positive but the negative ones managed to get on my nerves. I used the bad comments to fuel me up to work harder and perform well.

They were currently resting at their dorm after a hectic week full of schedules. They hanged out in the living room watching a movie while some of them were playing with their phone.

Karina was scrolling through Twitter using her private personal account, then she saw a news about Y/N that seem to have gained a lot of bad comments.

"Poor guy, he just got into the team but the fans are already cruel at him" Karina spoke out while reading the news.

"What happened?" Giselle took a peek at Karina's phone.

"Ohh I've seen this just now, I got curious and searched about him hahaha. He's actually pretty good" Giselle told her.

"You don't even know anything about football unnie" Ningning who was busy watching the TV said.

"I know i know, but here look. Minjeong ah pass me the remote" Giselle said to Winter who has already paused their movie and gave her the TV remote.

Giselle then switched the channel to YouTube and searched for Y/N clips. There were a lot of videos of him, from his high school football team to the academy team. It displayed his footballing ability earning thousands of views.

"I may not know football but anyone can tell that he's good from those videos" Giselle proudly said.

"Waaaaaa look at those movements, why would people criticise him when he can do that" Karina praised with her mouth wide open.

Winter just watched in silence while browsing through her phone.

Bed time was near as they didn't realise that they have been watching videos of Y/N for a long time already.

"Wow we were so immersed into watching those clips that it's almost bed time already" Karina said in disbelief.

"I think I'm in love after watching him hahaha" Ningning jokingly said earning a smack on her shoulder from Karina as they all laughed.

"He is kinda cute..." Winter who was quiet this whole time finally voiced out.

"Wow you were quiet this whole time, i guess you were falling for him" Giselle teased Winter.

"Omo jagiya, don't tell me you're cheating on me" Karina pouted.

"W-what? Falling for him? No wayy hahahah" Winter was flustered.

"I mean, he is kinda good looking........" Karina said after making everyone look at her in shock.

"Ok ok that's enough everyone, we should head to bed, we have practice tomorrow" Karina tried to change the topic and went to her room.

"I actually can't wait for his debut, I'm looking forward to it" Giselle stated.

"Same here" Winter responded.

Then the girls one by one went to their rooms for their beauty sleep after the unexpected fangirling moment.
