We were sitting in the back seat of my moms truck.

Alex had put her hair up in a ponytail, she was wearing black leggings and a blue tank top witch made her eyes pop. She was beautiful.

My mom was talking on the phone while pulling out of the driveway of Alex's house. We had my earbuds in our ears, listening to the Top 40, one in her ear and one in mine. I could barely look at her, I forced myself to look out the window instead. Watching cars pass, and the lights turn from red to green. I glanced over at Alex, her phone lit up her face. She was texting Zoey.

Man, I hope it's not stuff about me.

Minutes passed. No one said a word, except for my mom who was chatting on the phone with our neighbor Patty.

"Okay! Alright, bye! Mhkay bye." My Mom said. She hung up the phone and looked back at us. "We are here!" She pulled up in front of the movie theater. Me and Alex climbed out of the car and waved to my Mom as she drove away.

"She's cool." Alex said, she turned towards me "You've got a cool mom."
