My heart was doing summer salts as me and Zachary walked into the movie theater.

Calm down. You can do this. It's just a movie date.

"So," I said, breaking the silence. "What movie are we seeing anyway?" Zachary and I had grabbed a place in line, and were slowly moving closer and closer to the ticket booth.

We went to one of those old cinemas where you line up outside to buy your tickets, then proceed inside to grab snacks and watch the movie. I have always wanted to come here, but I never had the time on my hands to do so.

"I was thinking we could see ... " Zachary started to mumble at the end of his sentence. I turned to follow his gaze and realized why he was so distant. Joey was at the theater with some of his friends.

Zachary and Joey used to be best friends but something broke them up. Zachary never told me what happened between them but it was something big.

"Hey Zach?" I said. "You know, we could alway see the movie another time." I grab out for his hand but he pulled it away.

"No, Alex it's fine, lets just buy the tickets." He sighed and took a step forward in line. I watched his face, puzzled on what might of happened between them.

What the heck?!

I quickly turn around and see no one other than Joey standing behind me, grinning that stupid smile of his.

"Oh hey there pretty, whatcha doing here with such a dork? You should be here with me." He said, almost cackling at the end.

"Joey what's going on?" Zachary asked. He sounded protective, as well as annoyed.

"Nothing much, just checking out your date over here." He said. His grin got bigger with every word. Zachary's eyes widened as he took in what Joey had said.

"What? You jeal-" Joey was cut off but a swish and a blur. Next thing I knew, Joey was on the ground and Zach was rubbing his knuckles.

Zachary just punched Joey in the jaw. Oh my god.

"Hey! Young man!" A voice called out. It was a security guard. He was swiftly making his was towards Zachary and I.

"Young man, I am going to have to ask you to leave the theater." He said, his voice strict and monotone.

"What?" I asked. The security guard grabbed us by the wrists and walked us to the door.

"You are from here on out banned from this establishment." He said. He let go and motioned towards the exit. Zachary grabbed my hand and started walking to the door.
