I Will Make It Right

After the meeting ended, all the sect leaders felt that they had received an excellent topic for discussion. They walked quickly as they debated with all their might, their fervent hatred still burning brightly in their hearts.

Behind the sea of Sparks Amidst Snow, Nie Huaisang and Luo-guniang gathered, exchanging whispers.

Nie Huaisang spoke up, still refusing to accept the situation. "I can't believe they just said that to Wei-jie!"

Luo-guniang rationalized, pupils burning with strong hostility, "It's impossible to resolve conflict with disrespectful people because they communicate with their ego."

Nie Huaisang nods, concurring to her statement, "It's okay to disagree, but it's not okay to disrespect."

Both Nie Huaisang and Luo-guniang were outraged during the conference. If it hadn't been for Hanguang-jun's chilling interruption and Jiang-guniang's high-toned, very cool declaration, they would've stood up and cursed everyone who insulted their Wei-jie (heavy consequences be damned!).

Seriously though, Nie Huaisang thinks that Jin Zixun-gongzi and Fang-gongzi have exhausted their arguments. For that reason, they resort to attacking with insults.

They didn't know 'those' were weapons of the weak.

Nie Huaisang asks then, "Huh, where's Wei-jie?"

Luo-guniang oh-ed, she gestures toward the front. Nie Huaisang turned his head to look:

Amid the ocean of Sparks Amidst Snow, Hanguang-jun, Jiang-guniang, and Wei-jie stood facing each other -- Wei-jie's eyes were welling up while Hanguang-jun and Jiang-guniang wore solemn expressions.

The three seemed to be conversing.

A moment later, Jiang-guniang saluted Hanguang-jun with a slight bow.

The salute held gravity amid respect. Hanguang-jun reciprocated her an even graver salute. Then, Jiang-guniang and Wei-jie made their way down Koi Tower.

Seeing their departure, Nie Huaisang and Luo-guniang rushed to catch up with them. At the very least, they want to check on their Wei-jie.

'Life would be grand. Perfect. Wonderful. If only... we could all get along.

Alas, that is not always the case. It isn't the way the world operates.

I learned that, in life, you'll inevitably meet people who irritate you, whether they ruffle your feathers or make you downright furious.

Rude people are frustrating, I know. I experienced it first-hand. But don't let them get the best of you. Don't let their venomous words pierce your skin.

Maintain your dignity.

Be true to yourself.

Be a better person.

They need help. It's not your responsibility to fix or tolerate them.

And so, I say...

I deserve better than to be surrounded by rude people. I'm not obligated to keep them in my life.

My space is mine to fill with whomever I like.'

Two days later, bringing with her A-Ying, Jiang Yanli left for Yiling.

Beneath Burial Mounds, before the walls that were torn down, hundreds of fierce corpses 'really' did roam around.

Jiang Yanli advanced, A-Ying followed behind.
